Let us hear it - all three of us pass?

lol, not quite Taps. Are you out of moves or are you planning on doing anything else?

I have a dread and a cruiser on the very far fringes of the galaxy. I'm going to build a warp portal there and send them through. I've put additional drives on them so that they can chug on to more than just the other warp portals.

The only questions I have really is where? And together, or to two different locations?

I am considering passing - alternatively, I could research orbitals, then use the pulsar to build one and colonize it. Also, I could research Advanced Robotics, then and do another influence, then build my second dread with Pulsar, which then is set to a move/upgrade for next turn, which is the better combination.

I hesitate, mostly because Gnaw might try to outwit me by moving one of his his fighters around a lot and bankrupt, but.... just in order to try and depopulate one of my planets, he'd have to give up a juicy system himself.

build and move puts you in bankruptcy. Influence would be even worse. I don't think we need to worry IH and next round would be better for us to reciprocate.

Hah, I didn't see that all. That's pretty hilarious ^_^

Indeed, winning some money planets would be the priority. Specifically, two of them ^_^

Raiding Zeta Chameleontis might be worth it, just to depopulate it. The risk lies in next turn - IH might decide to pin you down and have Tatts weigh in and you then lose a tonne of mats and have an open back door for the blue-yellow-green boys. With only 4 mats production, you'd be in dire straights and all our defensive efforts would be away from our borders.
281 is an empty sector and the only reason for moving something there, is to hope you draw so many ships there to combat you that Morghy and CF will start a war against IH because they get nervous by the concentrated firepower.

They might decide that it's better to take you out themselves, alternatively.

You could also try 281, then move on to combat the ancient in Vega, I guess. The discovery might be worth it, although there's 2 cruisers and 2 dreads next door...

As you say, anything that Gnaw does from now on would involve a cost on his part, either in bankruptcy or losing something himself, and possibly both. And, if I enter his territories through the back door, can he oppose both of us? He'll have to lose something I think.

Here is me hoping to find a way into D'rek's territory and here is you giving me a nice opportunity to come knocking ^_^ I really hope you do it.

This would be why I waited till everyone passed. Even in the worst options, anything you have to do to counter me will end up costing you too, either in moves you didn't want to have to make, ships out of position, your own bankruptcy, or worse. That's at least something

It means I don't have to find 14/16 science to counter D'rek and her wormhole generator.

In one move my dread can get to Zeta Centauri and in two I can reach any of your homeworlds ^_^

I'm sure D'rek will be happy to see you expending moves making your way through my snaking territory while she simply pops through the half-wormholes into the space you've vacated.

That is the brilliance of it. I already have two ships built. I will have enough to build another dread and cruiser next round, my cruiser can defend my dreads can attack ^_^

I think it opens up a whole new dimension to this game and breaks what is looking to be a deadlock, not to mention that it is not an attack against CF and I. I like it ^_^

Tatts is just trying to stave off a clever attack on his alliance.
