The flying is certainly an issue, but it's possible Iron Man might realize he's Iron Man and instantly fall asleep from boredom, thus allowing Wolverine to attack at leisure.

There are 3 and only 3 possible scenarios:

1. Wolverine slices Iron Man in half.

2. Wolverine slices Iron Man's suit and rocket fuel leaks out (or antimatter, or arc reactor juice, or whatever...nobody really gives a crap). Iron Man dies
Spoiler
(1991 spoiler alert).

3. Iron Man shoots Wolverine with a repulsor ray. Wolverine wakes up even madder and slices Iron Man in half.

Mainly I just want Brujah to lose.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

.... I mean seriously Spiderman completely ruins Wolverine every single time and you think Iron Man can't handle him?

Spiderman beat Iron Man (Civil War - Peter out-techs Tony, disarms his spideysuit override, punches his face in)

Wolverine beats Spiderman (Spidey vs Wolverine, Spidey realizes the only way to beat Logan is to kill him, can't do it).

Ergo, Wolverine wins.

The distance element is a biggy, no doubt, but it supposes that Wolverine is just going to stand there in the open while IM nukes him from orbit, which is ridiculous. To the extent that we can really debate this, Wolverine would run like fuck, take a few hits but ultimately get out of the way until he can hunt Stark down and puree him.

Hahahahaha 'in the actual comics he can't bring himself to kill the guy, somehow this is relevant to a rhetorical fight to the death, therefore he loses' you are literally Wimp Lo

Also, Wolverine married an antisemite and has lost to the Punisher, Hulk and fucking Spock (that is Leonard Nimoy, not Doctor Octopus's mind in Spiderman's body or whatever the fuck is going on in comics nowadays), incidentally I hate you all for making me defend Iron Man though the Downey Jr crackhead line was out of order muthafucka
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Really, there simply isnt scenario, where Stark doesnt end dead. Like completely dead. Without head. Or kidneys.

Its like asking "who would win, seagull or panther...but seagull can fly!"

Holy shit he fought with a shark man?! That's fucking awesome!

Also yeah, burny truth or whatever, good job jumping on a bad time in the actor's life to make a point on a character he played, but at least Hugh Jackman is also very similar to his character:

Good point. Wolverine is certainly more... driven... than Iron Man.

That's not a very good comparison, really. Seagulls can't do much physical damage. Iron Man has pretty powerful weapons, with what seems to be basically unlimited shots, and a pretty fast rate of fire. Fast enough that I think Wolverine would have a problem.

Wolverine is hype. Also, he's been dumb enough before to pick fights with Magneto. There's brave and then there's tactically extremely stupid.

Yeah... Iron Man's not my favorite either. Just the Wolverine hype annoys me.

OK then, talk us through how Wolverine outsciences Iron Man. Go on. I want a full dissertation with a side manuscript focusing on dealing with the repulsor beams on my desk by Monday.

He kills him with *SNIKT* claws. Dead Man doesnt use repulsor beams.

Oh, those students... never see simple solutions in scientific research.

OK!

I studied for the test. after reading up tons of hours worth of info on Iron Man I am still heavily biased but one thing I did find recorded and listed in his capabilities was:

Quote

Magnetism: The armor can generate magnetic fields to pull or push metal objects at will

Iron Man also killed Mallas. An Extremis verion of Wolverine minus the adamantine...

Advantage Ironman.

But then Wolverine cannot be killed because the Adamantium makes all the difference. As long as his brain is encased in Apocalypse reinforced Adamantium Wolverine cannot die. cutting his head off just won't work. If not by the many fights Wolverine has had with the Hulk, DEFINATELY not by Tony Stark. There's an issue with a giant Fury taking a hack swing at Wolverines neck. Clean shot and it failed, Mandroids with Buzz saws failed at this too. The hulk has done his bit and recent strengthening of the Adamantium graft has made wolverines skeleton, particularly around his neck, incredibly resilient to damage. Naturally Wolverines Bone density is super high. the natural Bone claws were strong enough to rip through sheets of metal. This combined with the adamantium renders Wolverine nearly unkillable.

Iron man is no longer powered up by Extremis and the serious damage from facing so many foes compromises him. Add in the funny fact that wolverine is immune to disease and we have a whole different type of conundrum. If Ironman plays Puppet master, Wolverine is screwed. Not sure how strong the magnetic forces are but they are connected to the Repulsor Tech Node so they must be pretty strong. Fix Wolvie in one place and It's looking grim as Repulsor beams would strip Wolverine to his shiny billion dollar bones. However Wolverine can take things to a whole new level. Bio warfare is a feasible possibility for the guy. Wolverine can dip his claws in something nasty. then close the distance or force Iron man to come into close quarters. While Starks' machine is effectively a space suit on acid, any compromisation and a simple cut from wolverine could mean a death sentence.

I am honestly on the fence though I love wolverines character, Iron man is awesome too and I can argue either way. this post is really me just throwing a few more vegetables into the stew :(

Magnetically affix him to a plate (leaving no room for play with his claws which is easy enough and has been done before), stick it in a spaceship (of which there are literally hundreds to spare), fire it into the sun. Suck it, fanboys.

(this is ignoring the pour thermite into the skull's spinal cord hole option for thematic simplicity)

It may be nearly impossible to damage adamantium, even through heat, but that's because it has an extremely high melting temperature. It still gets hot and conducts heat, since it is metal (or technically an alloy, but this property remains the same), after all. Sustained heat to the skull would cook Wolverine's brain. If Iron Man's suit does in fact have magnetic abilities, as Dolmen points out, then Wolverine can be held in place, in which case there's no way for him to avoid sustained heat blasts to his skull. Dead.
