Yes but azanthai can change the appearance right? I know some change sexes, and skillen dro took on a giant lizard shape.

Yes, but it was said by -other- Azathenai. So that doesn't fly.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Togg and Fanderay Azathenai? Don't think so. They're wolves. Not all ancient beings are automatically azathenai, just as not all azathenai are elder gods or all elder gods are azathenai.

Ah, haven't read FoL yet, so I'll withhold comment on that.

Is Osserc ever called an Elder God?
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I may be totally wrong in this as it has been a while since I read the series but my thinkymeat is telling me not in the main series but there is a throwaway line in an ICE book where he is ref as an Elder - 50/50 that I am remembering it incorrectly.

I think he was worshipped as Father Wind, but I don't believe Osserc is ever referred to as an Elder God. Elder and Elder God are not the same things, Elder just refers to ancient beings from before the time of the Warrens.

Aye, that was why I remember that it was throwaway and just confused matters. Elder and not Elder God, leaving it open to interpretation..

Edgewalker Is the Throne of Shadow?

I was re-reading CG and I was struck by a comment of Silchas Ruin's when he was soeaking to Tulas Shorn: (p 878)

'Since we are about to die, Silchas, will you tell me what happened to the true Throne of Shadow?' Silchas Ruin smiled and shook his head. 'Perhaps, if the throne so desires, it will one day tell you itself.'

'Thrones cannot speak.'

'That is true, and its just as well, dont you think?'

This made me think that Edgewalker could be the Throne of Shadow. He tells Cotillion during one of their comversations that he is an elemental force. One great aspect of this theory is that it completely makes sense that there wouod be some entity that is truly Father Shadow, not Scabby Bloodeye. Scarabandaris (Scabby) was a relatively lesser power/ minor player during the Elfin-like Tiste Series (Kharkanas Triliogy) from what i remember. I still have no clue who Edgewalker was before he came to be called 'Edgewalker' however, I'm leaning towards him actually being yet another Azathanai whose aspect may be shadow. He is named by Osserc as someone to be feared and known amongst the Azathanai.

I just took it as a Shadowthrone joke, but you never know.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

I, too, for a moment thought the section might refer to a person. But I am inclined to read it along the lines of 'the Olympics will tell' or other types of phrases where it isn't so much an individual making an actual speech but where we are told that events will give us the answer to a question.

If the section refers to Edgewalker, then I would see it as him being a representative/spokesperson for the Throne rather than him being the Throne itself.
