Titanfall Yes, it's an FPS

I'm enjoying it. I still feel like the progression is way too fast (any game which has a featured achievement to get to max level in the first month levels too fast) -I know, you can prestige, but there are already G8+ people running around. So even that is too easy.
It makes sense given the small number of unlocks though -and I appreciate not having ten types of each weapon which are arbitrarily better/worse than each other just for the sake of having things to unlock. But it does feel a bit too easy to level. Heck, I've barely got a day on the clock and I'm level 41 without trying. :S
I think it's pretty obviously the pilot game (hehehehe see what I did there? XD) for Titanfall 2. There are just a few too many features which aren't there, or aren't as good as they could be. This isn't a criticism per se because it's got those new mechanics and pressure to launch asap for the console, plus respawn is a 'new' studio. But it's noticeable all the same.
Still, it's a nice change, though my main gaming buddy wants to buy/play battlefield 4 instead for some reason. XD

It does get harder to prestige though, as you are required to complete challenges to rank up. The first few aren't bad (gen 2- shotgun and 40mm kills for example) but eventually you need 50 eject kills in one generation. Haven't made it that far yet, just hit gen 4, but it will take forever when I do get there.
This definitely does seem like a game that could use more, but it's great and great fun as is, and should only get better with updates and dlc. Here's betting Titanfall 2 has a single player campaign.
Do you have an xbox yet Silencer, or are you playing on PC? Also convince your friend not to make that mistake. I got bf4 for free with the xbox and it just is not as good as any other in the series imo (having played every bf).

'Gooser' isn't hard. It just takes a bit of time. Hardest one is the one I'm doing now, where you have to get 100 wins before you can prestige. I've played just over 30 games and have 27 wins and am at 50 already. Don't have the 'Watch Out Below' kills done yet, but I'm closer to that then the 70 more wins I need.
For the Gooser challenge, just play LTS, hang in the back with the chaingun and shoot ejecting pilots. You can also rodeo-kill titans (which is the next prestige, good practice!) using the Spitfire, and when they eject they should eject in front and just below you, satchels and smart pistols with fast lock apparently work well there. I couldn't get that working really well for me, the mech chaingun was boss. That same prestige you have to max out the Arc Cannon, if you get good at timing it you can hit the titan with the arc cannon while the pilot is ejecting, and it will jump to them and kill them.

Thanks for the great advice, Obdi, but it appears that Respawn decided to make this really easy by dropping the number to 5 kills in a future update. It shouldn't be a problem now as long as I do the stuff you were saying, though this change will probably irritate all the people who already did it. Interestingly, those players are going to get 'special recognition' for their achievement, so that could be cool. I've got no idea when that update is, so I may get the 50 as it stands now (need auto pistol kills to end gen 4).
Speaking of achievements, I unlocked the one for killing all the retreating pilots in a full game. That was a sweet moment as I was just in my titan fighting across the map, finding one after another. I definitely let the other team know, but no one had mics, of course. It's stupid that no one talks, ever. Every single player has a functioning mic having recently bought this new console, plus the echoing kinect, so they should use it.

Yeah I've got an X1. I'm trying to talk my friend out of BF4 but he is stubborn. XD
As for mics... Honestly, I find it relieving that there are nowhere near as many annoying people that I need to mute so far. I thought it would be terrible but I basically haven't had to mute anyone yet.
I mean, it would be great if everyone had proper communication and after-game chatting but that would never happen outside of a party chat. Too many idiots/small children. So I'll happily take silence instead. XD

Awesome! I finally got mine this weekend and didn't even realize it until it popped up at the bottom 'Achievement Unlocked'. Still don't have the 'kill an ejecting pilot with the railgain' achievement yet... that's really the only one that is going to be difficult, imo.
You doing videos at all using the Xbox utilities for it, or are you playing on PC?

I'm on the Xbox but haven't made any videos yet. Did 'xbox record that a few times' but I'm not sure where the other video tools are. I've heard there is a way to talk over clips and a way to record longer clips but I haven't had a chance to fiddle with that yet. I take it you are making videos, any really great ones yet? You have the same GT still? I think we kept culling each other before with the old 100 friend limit, gonna have to add you again. The new follow/friend system is dumb though, should be more control over it rather than having randoms see my activity and such.
And yeah, the rail gun achievement was tough. I got it during whatever generation had the rail gun challenges. I just randomly fired in air towards an ejection and got lucky. All the other achievements just require a little bit of time (like every mode on every map).

Yup still Obdigore for GT.
I've been making some videos, you use 'upload studio' to make the videos, you can cut down what you record and put clips together and different stuff, and you can upload it so your friends can watch it, or you can upload it to Skydrive, which lets you publish it to the 'net, iirc.
One of you friends made a 'Yakity Smacks' video of him punching pilots in a titan to the Benny Hill themesong. It was pretty entertaining.

How are people finding Titanfall now after a few weeks of playing? Has it got enough replay value or does it get very samey quite fast?
As much as i hate to admit it i have been playing alot of CoD: Ghosts lately (extinction) but thats due to alot of friends play, but im considering Titanfall if its still got a decent population and is worht putting the time into.
thanks

I've also been planning to invest in Titanfall for a while now. But I've already got so many games I need to play and since I've gotten back into Battlefield with BF4 I'm finding it difficult to find time for all the games. So, is Titanfall as awesome as it looks and is the singleplayer also worth the time?
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I picked the game up for ten dollars on PC. Its downloading now.
Anyone on here still playing? On PC? I hear the next update is a co-op horde mode which sounds fun.

The Quick Look I watched a couple of week ago looking at the Titanfall DLC certainly showed a lack of players.
