Calm down, we're just trying to figure this whole thing out. I think it's an important disticntion because there's a difference between:

a - you are still elected Mayor (and gain XP), but someone's interference changes your Judge choice

and

b - you are not elected Mayor (and don't gain XP), but are still revealed as Mayor on-thread and the person who interfered picks the Judge.


IMO, until you said you got no XP I would have considered A a lot more likely than B. But now I am also considering B, though with some skepticism since we didn't hear it from the previous people who claimed they're Mayorships were interfered with.

So looking at this list then, the biggest question for me is are we looking at two different lynch shenanigan mechanics? Or can the Day 2 pass-over Lock mechanic be the same as the rest?

If it's the same mechanic, that would mean that whoever takes over the lynch needs to have at least one vote for them, possibly even they have to be in second place, and then they got the Mayorship but it appears as the person who did get the most votes.

OR, the mechanic doesn't let the caster become Mayor, but moves the Mayor result to the 2nd-place person, whomever it is, and goes with their Judge choice but reveals the 1st-place Mayor on-thread. I'll have to go back and check, but I don't think this lines up with what the 2nd-place Mayor candidates were claiming their Judge choices would be.

Jalan never said anything on day 4 about not getting his XP. Fanderay the same on day 5. So I'm not sure how to reconcile that with Cast's claim. It seems like the sort of thing that they would let everyone know about, IMO, but I could be wrong.

It could be this. I think it is even simple than that though. I think someone switched the Judge. So Cast was still elected mayor, but someone (perhaps even Cast themselves) used an ability to pick someone else's Judge choice, and at the same time saves Cast.

Now, my Judge choice yesterday was Barghast. However, I did not receive any XP, so I don't think it was my choice which was selected.
