Not that close. They only have one location they need to their name. Yes, Outlaw's is close and seemingly uncontested, but the Corporate Cult have a good lead at Fleece Spring.

I was going to keep this to myself but as weekend has had no discussion it may share some information on the likely mechanic; Grasp was my submitted Judge choice. My supposition is that the ability used swapped the lynch choice of the winner and the final place in the elections Judge choices. This may or may not be accurate - the changing to Grasp fits my theory, however it could be that the person who affected the election also chose to put it out to Grasp themselves. This does seem to be slightly more likely, choice in the new recipient seems better suited to team play than swapping to whoever is in lasts position. This does also present another reason for us to have a second, smaller election train in progress every day - were there not a second train and third likely it would have defaulted to no lynch, leaving us deeper in trouble.

This seems like a bit of a stretch. Someone would have to have an ability that reads something like:

Name - Mindfuck everybody
Cost - Joker [7]
Effect - Day Action. Target a player. If they are elected Mayor, their choice of Judge is changed to the Judge choice of the player who has the least votes for Mayor, above 0.

Which sounds a bit overly complicated, especially compared to what seems to be the only confirmed lynch-affecting ability we've seen solid evidence of, which would've been something like "Day Action. Target a player. That player cannot be elected Mayor today." Plus, the ability you're suggesting doesn't seem to be all that useful of an ability since it's not giving whoever would cast it much control unless they are the person with the least votes for Mayor above 0.

Anything is possible, but this seems to be overcomplicating things IMO. Yes, Jalan did try to play the "someone messed with me" card:

But I think this bit from him sounds more like someone who was just trying to pull off this deceit through "normal" means and got screwed by the Judge choice being revealed on-thread:

On holiday so won't be around much. Jalan is who I'm targeting today for obvious reasons. Elect me mayor and I'll select from anyone that will target Jalan for lynch. Elect me judge and that will be who I lynch.
