to an extent the written series may have an impact, even tho everyone keeps reminding us that they don't have to follow it if they catch up and pass GRRM the books plummet in sales the tv series is cancelled and they only have one season to wrap it GRRM dies dont feel like it.

That Dontos news is absolutely fantastic. And that's the second mystery kid! But it says he's filming in Iceland. Maybe they're just expanding the Wildlings cast and it's a show-only character? Or are there scenes shot in Iceland that happen south of the Wall?

So they're hiring a non-actor with no lines for Gregor? Uh oh....

I guess that means my favourite scene in the entire series might be cut, and Tyrion might just get thrown straight into the dungeon from the verbal trial.

According to Wert, they did not ask Gregor I back, which upsets me. And while I wasn't entirely happy with Daario, I'm less happy with him being recast.

I like the Daario recast because, while I'm on passingly familiar with Treme, that actor was spectacular in every episode I've seen. I think he'll bring a lot more complexity to the role as it's required going forward, whereas the last guy seemed way too beefcakey to me.

Gregor has apparently been recast. I'm going to be honest. I don't much care about who's in the role as Gregor as long as he's big and mean and has a stage presence. It's not like the character is multidimensional in the novels.

Walda Frey as a character holds some potential, especially if Roose gets more development.

The fact that we have an actress for the mistress of Moletown is also intriguing.

Most intriguing is that Locke (Vargo Hoat) is apparently headed for the Wall? My guess is that they're prepping him to be the asshole Janos Slynt character on the wall who serves as Jon rival, whom Jon eventually beheads. I really think the Slynt character was too minor and too far back in television memory for the writers to resurrect on the Wall as a thorn in Jon's side. They also haven't done a helluva lot of development around Alliser Thorne at the Wall. So it would make a KIND of sense if Locke filled that void. Though I would definitely miss the satisfaction of watching Jon take off the head of the guy who betrayed Ned.

I posted earlier that Slynt is back, same actor. Tyrion sent him to the Wall in dramatic fashion in the show, and I don't think he's incredibly forgettable considering that he was part of the Ned betrayal. Interesting that Locke is going to the Wall, but I don't think he'll replace Slynt; he might be another competitor.

Man it would be so awesome if Roose were to go to Kings Landing and be in the same room as Tywin. Maybe he could impart some cold emotionally detached expert torture-promoting views to Joffrey, though that may be too similar to his conversation with Ramsey in DwD. And why not include him in the Purple Wedding too, that way the guy can be associated for good as just been bad luck for Weddings. He has nothing to do for season 4 after all.

I so want to see Michael McElhatton and Charles Dance playing off each other.
