Thanks for the link. not much help though:

"Step 1: click the Macros button on the Developer tab". The button is greyed out. And I suspect it's an XML issue (which is ALSO locked from editing. Fuck you, government. If you're gonna lock your shit, at least make sure it bloody works without going all mental!)

Anyhow, I seem to have found a workaround that leaves the boss happy. And I learned how to enable the developer tab in Word, so the day was not wasted.

it's not the MAJOR accomplishment. That honour goes to dealing with several of our clients. And figuring out how to get around the buggy XML/macro/whateverthebloodyfuckiswrongwiththisshittypieceofcrapform.
