I'm willing to self-vote the hammer or near to it if we get that far, if only to confirm or deny the presence of alts on my train.

Anyone wish to follow me on an Ultama vote? If not I'll go with Trake then.

What was your case against Ultama? I'm tired and don't feel like reading back through the various recent arguments.

The reason I am voting Nimander is his obsession with Tiam. If Tiam is right and can boost abilities then this may help us against the Vord Queen. If Tiam is wrong and he is just a vord spawn then he is not a big fish. I think Nimander is worried because he has already stated he was attacked last night. A leader asking for a heal? He is worried that if attacks are boosted then his heal could be penetrated.

I think Fener is Octavian and that is why the interaction with Tiam sounds true. I don't think the first Aleran's are our enemy. I think we should do our best to get them on our side because they are the most neutral faction. People may try to sugar coat easy lynches but I think the tougher lynches will provide the most fruit. I would like to see who defends Nimander. At the moment he is my top suspect for Vord Queen.

You are on Celes is my guess.

Ok caught up and here til time-out.

This is something that stuck out to me. If you seriously think that Fener is Tavi, why would you ever bring it up? I get this isn't a standard MP game where revealing a role like the healer to the thread is scummy, but the same idea kinda applies here considering that Tavi would be the best defense against the Vord threat and is on a neutral faction. Then you also went and told the thread where you think he is currently located. Well that doesn't help the Vord or anything.

Not only that, now you are claiming to be FA yourself, and yet you potentially revealed your leader and the numbers of your faction. What? That is not good play, if you are telling the truth, which is possible because your ability makes sense.

Talking about possibility of non-votes when they placed their vote on Fener - might be distancing, knowing it was going to happen.

Actually, Korbas is not only claiming FA, but strongly hinting he's Tavi. At some point, should I survive the night, I'm going to look over his multitude of posts and his voting habits, because he has made some off comments, and I don't trust people who reveal faction and hint at character this early.

I was thinking he was hinting Kitai actually, what with asking Tiam about chala and such.

I am Alera. There are consequences to every decision you make about me. Even choosing nothing is a consequence: the consequence of the status quo.

However. Should I be lynched, or killed:

Any, every, and all fury abilities are de-buffed. Some are locked off entirely. For a period of 120 hours - or 3 full game days and nights, if you prefer.

Ah, of course, there it is. It's the ol' Spysat117 - "Oh yeah, I'm totally a real role and super helpful to town guys! Oh, but if you turn on me I kill everyone, too!"

Totally stupid. You really believe Blend put in a role that is extremely suspicious AND who's game-affecting, player-vote-requiring mechanics are neverconfirmed by the mods, BUT ALSO who if you find suspicious and vote off everyone gets punished for? That would be just plain poor game design.

It was interesting to see the claim that this role only existed due to a lack if signups. Meaning that this role is working to help balance the game, maybe because the Vord are more powerful than we think. That would explain why she is saying she is a buffer. She's working to prevent the game from swinging one way too quickly.

The nuke does make sense from the book's perspective too right? I'm thinking this is a legit role, especially with the claim that mods WILL confirm what us buffed. So either the mods will confirm tomorrow what's buffed or Tiam is lying. That's good enough to leave her for now.

IMO, no. Nothing bad happens to the furies/crafters in the books when Alera "dies"

I've got a question. Do the Vord take over people in the book, and if so do they retain the knowledge and abilities of the people they've taken over?

Yeah, they do recruit. In more than one way. And yes, I would expect those abilities to carry over.

@Nimander- I thought there was a convo between Alera and Sextus (or Tavi) discussing how her loss would weaken furies. I haven't read the books in years, and my quote FU abilities aren't strong enough to hunt it down. I think it's plausible though.

Remove vote.
Vote Korbas.

Because no one is going to risk Tiam, and if Korbas is actually speculating on the location of his alleged boss in-thread, then I don't think I want to keep him around.

After centuries of time had passed, I think?

She also says, I think, that once she is gone the Great Furies will (again very gradually) that she has helped to subdue will become stronger as her influence on them fades. But if these effects are being sped up for this mafia game, Tiam hasn't said anything about an effect on the Great Furies...

No-one asked her. It was on my list for her next appearance.

Oh, wow. We are this close with no real lynch lead? I really don't know, and 25 isn't much time. Personally, Trake hasn't really bothered me, but I don't have much else in short time. I just woke up. I hate saying this this way, but I guess I'll commit to whoever is leading when we get close. I'd say Trake is loyalist from my notes, but my notes are really sketchy.
