You think it will go faster than +5 infestation a day?

Yes, if you look at the counters of the different places, then you'll notice that it would take too long with +5 infestation to be a thread. The game would have ended long before by completing other VCs.

Agreed. Specially with the fortifications feature.

So, the infestation has started already, which means we started the game with the dawn phase. And I think it's fair to assume that the infestation won't stay that slow paced.
I think I saw it as infested before the official start, i assume it's like their starting point or something.

In the OP shaur started with 0 infestation, there's also places with improved fortifications, so I'm guessing the game started at dusk.

Game started at Day 1 so their was no Night phase for Dawn actions to be submitted in.
Some actions may be passive - simply by a player being in a location at the start of day an affect is had.
So for instance the Vord Queen may cause instant complete infestation by performing an action on a spot whereas a Keeper cause +5 per Day phase.

Whoever is on Antillus best be careful because they do not have much movement options. I wonder if infestation counter can keep increasing or reset when a player moves away from the tile.

Game officially starts at the beginning of Day 1. Though this goes against most reason, the Dawn after Night 1 is considered Dawn 1 for the purposes of this game.
So days start on Day, and end on Dawn.
So days start on Day, and end on Dawn.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

I'd guess that it's permanent otherwise how would they be able to infest every tile?

What's a Keeper?
[quote name='http://alera.wikia.com/wiki/Vord']Keepers
Keepers, also known as the "Wax Spiders," are dog-sized spider-shaped creatures. They maintain, feed, and feed off of the croach. If any portion of the croach becomes damaged, the Wax Spiders quickly appear to investigate the site and will attempt to kill any potential foes. They are known to see in infrared, but can also switch to the visible spectrum.

.. and that wiki entry lead you to believe they "cause +5 per Day phase"? Why can't the Queen's presence do this? Why jump to this assumption? Why jump to the existence of Keepers in this game in the first place?
