Gnaw, I got my upkeep wrong on my last post. It should only be -5 instead of -7. Which is good for me. I get another action that I didn't think I could afford to do.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Two ships does not make an invasion. If you're really out to tank Twelve one of the best things you could do would be send an interceptor into Formahaut. Take the Traitor card from Tapper. He's +4 if you do that.

Trying to act all humble isn't working for me so I'll not say anything further.

It's going to be close though. D'rek is definitely still in it. I think d'rek is one disc short of getting good odds of a win, but she may be able to get the draw (in which case twelve probably wins due to more resources in the bank)

Morgoth and Khell are going to be the deciders. Morgoth may have a dilemma shortly as depending which route d'rek goes, he may help her more by killing a system than not!

Khell is a wild card. I'm wondering myself what he's up to.

As for Morgoth, you're right. Unless he goes after an artifact hex.

I doubt that I'll have more resources in the bank than D'rek when all is said and done. And how does Morgoth taking Rigel from D'rek help her more than hurt her? Though i doubt that he will actually take it from her. If Morgoth goes for any system other than Rigel or one that has an artifact I agree that it helps D'rek more than hurts her.

Morgoth. Have you thought about converting a few bits of cash and build an interceptor to tag team Rigel? It will probably mean you have to bankrupt one or both of those other systems you now control as a result but it will definately increase your odds of actually taking Rigel.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I assumed that was why morgoth colonised formhault, so he could build another ship to attack d'rek in rigel.

And I'm intrigued now, if your doing more moves that means you aren't going to just sit and defend... I wonder who you'll attack...

EDIT: Oh I see, well some people are really going to regret not committing against you, playing possum has definitely worked out for you twelve

Possum plays dead. I preffer to describe my play style as playing porcupine. Come play with me and get stuck. And as for the extra move I can do another upgrade that I had to cut from list as not being able to afford it.

You've not met a live possum before I take it? I had one digging through the trash can on the back porch. 3rd or 4th night I decide to get rid of it. Grabbed the .22 and opened the door. The possum bit the end of the rifle.

Oh I met a live one before. It was playing dead for my dog on the other side of the fence. So I took a shovel and scooped it up and put it in a bucket. I walked it down to the slough about a third of a mile from my place and threw it in the water. As soon as that sucker hit the water is started to swim away. So the whole time it was no more than a foot from me and it barely looked like it was breathing. It was actually a very convincing feint.

The teeth in your picture doesn't do it justice.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Oh yeah. I have no idea how big the damn thing was but when I opened the screen door those teeth were suddenly right there. and doorknob high. Since I was expecting something the size of a house cat it was a bit of a surprise.

Well see you guys on Monday. Even if it's my turn over the weekend at this point of the game I am not making a move until I can access my notes and review what other players have done. I don't want to screw the pooch at this stage of the game if you know what I mean.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
