So with Morgoth doing his reaction, does that change anything for the other players or are they considered "locked in" at this point?

If they're locked in then I'll post my move. I just didn't want to get farther ahead if we're still waiting to sort things between Morgoth, D'rek and GP.

Hmmmm. I think I have a problem with that one. You had opportunity to do this earlier. You were online and actively discussing Tatts' action. You let Tatts and Khell move without saying anything.

This is CF's game still so I'll pass the buck to him. But my opinion is that you let Tatts and Khell both take actions with the rather solid implication that you had decided "no reaction" for this turn.

I'm commenting as I read up. See above post for my opinion on this.

Unless over-ruled by CF, this is the current status of turns.

  • Tapper (reaction): Assumed - no reaction or move a ship back into the warp portal hex.
  • SS: BUILD interceptor in home system. Trades 9 science for 3 materials.

  • D'rek: MOVe
-Cruiser in Beta Centauri to Eta Cephei
-Dreadnaught in Beta Delphini to Psi Capricorni

Turn 7

  • Morgoth (reaction): Assumed - no reaction.
  • GP: Build 2 interceptors in Aldebran
  • Khell: Move 1 Interceptor from Arcturus to Pollux and Cruiser from Zeta Draconis to Rho Indi.

  • CF:
  • Twelve:

  • Tapper (reaction): "Preliminary pass again"
  • SS:
  • D'rek:

Turn 8

  • Morgoth (reaction):
  • GP:

Even if the ruling with Morgoths reaction standing, he'll have another opportunity to react as Tatts and Khell both took actions. He can just put it in as a provisional to move on the next time it comes around to him.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

IH you still giving out advice to the other players? I'd like to share something with you as long as it isn't used to help other players.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tough call, but there was a large time lapse between Drek's move (yesterday at 5:45 my time) and Tatts' final action (today at 11:00AM). I'd say morgoth had more than enough time to react in there while Tatts was debating what to do, and he chose not to. Any good arguments to the contrary?

I'm allowing people to make actions around a Reaction Only Player based upon the idea that the game benefits speed wise by doing so.

In this case, Morgoth was here. Was actively taking part in the discussion. Had ample opportunity to take a reaction and did not do so. It appears to me that he decided to do a reaction move based upon D'rek's comment that she wasn't worried about his dread in Rigel because he wouldn't be able to take the hex. Which, in my opinion, is just the type of abuse my rule does make room for. Except that Morgoth was here and participating in the discussion.

(Ironically, under my proposed rule change from yesterday, GP's original action would not have been allowed anyway because one of Morgoth's possible reactions could have been moving his dread to pin Tatts in Fomalhaut.)

Ok. Another move

Move interceptor in Geminga to Gamma Velorum. Move interceptor in Capella to Gamma Velorum. Move interceptor in Chi Draconis to 55 Gamgri.

And provisional pass for next round in case I'm not at the computer, unless SS or Khell does something totally wacky.

Did I mention how much I'm loving this round?

Even though the outcome of the game is pretty well set at this point, it's fun to see what develops on the sidelines!

Huh, I must have missed D'rek's action. I thought tatts just recently moved his fleet into D'reks homeworld and that we were waiting for it to come back to him still..

It doesn't matter I guess.

I'm loving it too. All these people who are well within striking range of Twelve declaring the game is already over.

I'll call the bluff: Does that mean you're willing to call it now CF? I can have game 4 set up and ready to start on Monday. :)

Eh. We've got to figure out a way to keep better track of turns for the next game. I'm still liking the idea of a second thread for actions.

You want to make that move in turn 8 Morgoth?

Just in case anyone needs a fix during the downtime. Assuming their is a downtime; apparently it may be put on hold for a few days.

Dammit!!!

I wanted you to take Capella off my hands.

Upgrade Cruiser
Place Gluon Computer over default Hull, Add flux missiles in empty slot.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.
