I will get to this today I promise. Will have a look at lunch time and get an updated board out. You are right, the last board update does not include new techs.
All this week I am working on a take-home exam that is very important to the completion of my degree, so I'll be on here very infrequently. It really is a lot of work and I barely have the time to do a good job on it as it is.
Actually, if Gnaw wants to mod the round I have no problem turning things back over to him. Gnaw?
Otherwise it will just be the usual slow pace.

Also don't we need a ruling on the Tapper issue? I'd vote for allowing the move and just have a true up next round like we did with SolidSnape when we discovered a serious screw up with his upkeep. What do people think?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yes, because D'rek has already researched QG and it would be a bit unfair on her I think. So you say to allow the dread, and he can compensate later?

Yeah. He just needs to deduct the number of resources he unfairly gained last round from what he will actually gain next round. Isn't that what we did with Solid earlier in the game?
I think that is the cleanest and easiest way to resolve the issue without backtracking this round.
Then we can proceed with Morgoth making his next action and we can continue with the round.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Sounds good to me re Tapper.
Morgoth sent a provisional to me. He would like to: spin round and round in his little tiny hex, flap his arms about, squawk like a pulled chicken, make faces at D'rek, and then pass.
It's amazing what you can still do with so little.

I'm okay with Tapper getting the Quantum Grid if there was only one available. He would go before me, and the original move he put suffered the same confusion I was getting.
I think the best move(s) for Morgoth now is to get the Ancient Monument/Link developments, both to increase his own points and to deprive Twelve/Tatts/me of more points from possibly getting those.

Just to be sure I understand:
Tapper's Influence, colonize material planet, and build of dread go through. GC will move one influence disc from the influence track to the storage are to undo the mistake of last round.
Edit: and, since the "extra" resource Tapper gained last round was an influence disc, the simplest way to fix this is to remove another influence disc for the duration of this round. He would get it back at the start of next round.

If we go with tapper getting QG and there are no QGs left, I'll research Phase Shields instead.

Well, if CF is giving me mod for this round, I like Twelve's idea. Unless any of you have a extreme displeasure with it:
The error was in turn 5 an extra influence disc was added to Tapper's board. That error continued through the first turn of this round.
The fix, as I understand it, is to immediately move the 'extra' back to the storage area. And make him "pay back" the "resources" at the end of this round.
My interpretation of that is to immediately remove one additional influence disc from Tapper's track. He will get it back at the start of turn 9.

I was trying to figure out Tapper's upkeep since I've done fuckall to help him with the mafia game.
There was a slight error during the time between 19 Aug and 21 Aug; the influence disc for turn 5 was taken from the storage area and not the influence track. Probably picked up with the fighter. "5: build orbital + fighter in warp portal world, colonize with money."
$12 income +$4 in bank -13 upkeep == $3
Science: 8 income +0 in bank == 8
Materials: 8 income +0 in bank == 8
Starting Round 8: $3, 8 sci, 8 mats -1 upkeep
It doesn't matter what Tapper did with the extra disc. It was that he had one extra in the first place.
So he loses the extra taking him to -2 upkeep. Then he loses one for the duration of this turn only, taking him to -3 upkeep at start of round.
Anyone have issue with that?

Hi Gnaw, thanks so much.
I can definitely feel our pace slowing as we near the end of this game and I didn't want to lose momentum completely because of my complete lack of free time. I'll be taking breaks here and there and I generally know what I want to do this turn anyway, so I won't be a hold up with my own turns hopefully.
File is uploading to your FTP now. Probably will be finished in 10min or so.

Comment oh harried one?
This takes out all the extraneous garbage. You got an extra disc to play with last round. Now you get penalized a disc for a round.
It does - I guess I should have checked for Quantum Grid before submitting, I'm cool with it. So that means I build the dread, right?
So it's your turn now Morgy.
