Also, diplomatic relations. GP and I can or cannot traverse each other"s territories?

Rules say we cannot. So I will orient 1 click counter clockwise.

According to D'rek's map, we've all formed nice little triangle empires except for Morgoth. He's being DIFFERENT, everybody get him!

Explore further to the south west (aka stra to the centre). If I upgrade the tech now, is that for free, and will it count as an upgrade if I do it later?

If it will connect to Twelve in some way, open diplomatic relations again ;-)

That is assuming we don't both uncover any ancients. Chances are that at least one of us will get an ancient tile.

And then the world as we know it will implode!

And so the Horde became free to roam the galaxtic bozkı. We will rule the place between the stars and all will bow to the mighty Gökada Khan.

@ Everyone,

Calm the fuck down. All board posts when I'm still waiting on orders from players are going to look a little weird. Just assume any board movements past the last "fully known" action are still up in the air. For that board post, the last "fully known" action was me. From now on I'll indicate that in the text above the spoiler tags enclosing picture itself.

And please make your first page updates in detail. Sorry to be such a nazi but I have very limited time to do this in a day and it really helps me out not to have to search 10 pages of banter for somebody's move.

@Khell,

I still don't see what you want to do with the planets. You only have 2 colony ships and can't populate all 3 available worlds within the supernova sector. Is the orientation I indicated in the last board update OK?

@Gnaw

sector oriented as requested, population cube laid. Discovery tile is NOVA BURST. A tile you can eiither keep for the VPs or save for battle. If used in it is used once at the beginning of combat to deal 1 damage to every enemy ship regardless of their shield status. AFter use it is discarded.

Also what cube do you want to put on your diplo with GP?

@GP

I assume you want to influence Pollux , but your request for 1 tick clockwise is not a legal move since it leaves no WHs connected to Psi Capricorni. Also, I still have no colonization orders from you. Is that correct?

@ Morgoth

I don't see your hex orientation request for Beta Centauri, nor influence and population orders.

@D'rek, SS, Tapper, Twelve,

Will start processing your actions soon.

And at the same time as running the game I'm trying to tech everyone a new (hopefully better) way to do things so that modding a game isn't a chore anymore, which means folks will be more apt to mod, and we can have many more eclipse games!

But I want to colonise two worlds, not three. The grey planet, and the science planet.

Now, what you're going to say is that they grey planet has two slots, thus making three cubes in total. I wish to argue that one planet counts as using one colony ship, regardless of how many slots it has.

So, who wants to tell me I'm wrong first? :p

Edit: And if that isn't allowed (which I say is then bollocks and screw colony ships again), then I will put two money cubes on the grey planet and leave the science planet uncolonised.

You're wrong.

You colonise a population square on a planet or orbital, not the planet itself.

The relevant section of the rules is:

At any time during your action,
you may activate one or more of your face
up Colony Ships. For each activated Colony Ship, you may
place one Population Cube to an empty Population Square
in any hex where you have an Influence Disc. Each Population
Cube you place must come from the Population Track
that corresponds to the color of the Population Square on
the hex. Activated Colony Ships are flipped face down. Using
Colony Ships is the only way to move Population Cubes
to the hexes and increase your production!

Well, I know that *by the rules* I'm wrong. I meant on principle, morally, ethically, *technologically* - who is in the wrong here? Not I. Why use two colony ships for one planet? That's inefficient. I cram all my colonists onto one ship, and then launch them off to found their separate colonies.

So yeah, two money cubes. Grey planet. Fuck colony ships. No matter which side they're flipped onto.

Khell is just confused because he was Lyra last game. The one and only time that the notion of "planets" rather than population slots is relevant is for the Lyra shrines.

Your snorkel-trunk thingies are too big to squeeze that many people into one colony ship.

Also this. I never worried about colony ships last game. Stupid colony ships. I want my shrines back. Didn't take no colony ships for shrines.

I really like having all the orders all in one place personally. That way you just have to scroll through 9 posts side by side to see what your enemi.... (cough) neighbors are doing.

You had a very extensive empire before I swooped in and cut you back to size. You used the colony ships many times. It must have been because you went from the enlightened to more progress oriented you are trying to fit in what would be more effience for progress than your previous enlightened self would have understood. That is why you are now better suited to my dinner table. Just hand over all your territories and you can forget this misguided pursuit of knowledge.
