So hypothetically speaking, are you thinking of hitting say 105 and 106, with khell hitting 104, and SS travelling round the galaxy to hit Tats, and CF hitting well... anywhere, how does that hypothetically sound. I imagine that would hurt twelve and tats quite a lot.

I sounds doable. The key hit will come from a swarm of IF's superfast interceptors with neutron bombs, though. SS's involvement will be slow as there's quite a distance to travel.

Move 1 fighter from my wormhole to hex 302 (bottom left, with Ancient) (2x 2 hexes movement).

Neutron bombs goes around the board twice without being taken? What is going on. Are you sure on that move Tapper?

Not really.
Let me think a bit.

I'm not angry. But I will hold fast. You don't have to attack Eta Geminorum if you don't want to, but it will be painful if you do. Too bad the warp portal development isn't still available, you could have put built it up there to get back home (or if the disco tile had been a warp portal).

Time is ripe for them to come knocking, like earlier in rounds. Opportune moments.

See, here's my dilemma.

Option 1.
I grab that hex with the ancient with minimal force, meaning I am no threat. Doing so makes researching Advanced Economics worth it for the next 3 rounds (not to mention cashing a VP for it) by freeing two money cubes, plus a disco tile that is valuable for 2 points regardless of what is on the other side. Twelve grabs Neutron Bombs and is safe from a quick darting attack. The risk is you attacking me for it (which is cheaper than building a fleet to contain me, even with the cloaking tech).

If we go to a pact between CF/you, me and SS, SS will need to move past there anyway, though.

Option 2.
I grab Neutron Bombs, don't get any points or a discount for it, but Twelve can't take it to safeguard himself. My economy still stinks a bit, no chance of improving it this round through research either, only through building another orbital. Not a great choice.

@Tapper/Khell/CF/IH - I could send a single ship at Aldebaran, Pollux or maybe even Mu Arae/Psi Capricorni, if it would be deemed helpful.

If we do a Rise of the Little People, anywhere where neutron bombs hit, would be helpful, I guess.

Aldebaran would be my vote, I still want Tatts to be able to reach the GC relatively painlessly in a later round. If we can get these two behemoths to fight each other after they've both been cut down somewhat and are desperate for those late-game points to overtake/keep their lead, that would be an ideal scenario.

Okay. Pollux and Aldebaran are both 1 move with my cruiser, though I'm thinking of building more ships elsewhere anyways. If I attack Aldebaran , most likely twelve will build things and destroy it, so it'll distract him but not reduce his points/income. If I attack Pollux, I'll probably win and decrease twelve's artifact count.

Hey!!!!

I really like Pollux and it's science output. That is just plain rude thinking of taking that from me!!!!

IH/Tapper if I build two interceptors in altair then that will pni two ships will it not? Then whoever else wants to go through will also have two pinned ships, so make your move before I make mine, it makes it easier for my choices.

Ignore what I just said, I was looking at D'rek's unupdated simple map  So who has Pollux now?

Edit: Twelve does.

Yes, I would go for Pollux.

Well since no-one (apart from CF) has researched neutron bombs, anyone attacking altair would probably be leaving two ships behind anyway in order to stand a chance.

If SS puts double fusion drives on some of his ships they could move into tatts territory much more easily.

Yeah, and when I wrote Twelve above I also meant Tatts, goddammit!

But yes, I still think Pollux.

I've researched neutron bombs - though presumably that doesn't help

Plasma missiles on those two interceptors are going to be a bitch for any glass ships boys.

3 ships with improved hull (ie Khell's interceptors) would beat that.
