Remember, I come before you. So your turn 7 upgrades gives me a reaction turn 8. Put missiles on my cruiser.

You do a turn 8, and I get to move a 2nd cruiser in.

Your turn 9 gives me an interceptor.

Your turn 10 gives me a plasma missile on it.

So if we can find a way for you to survive a -30 upkeep, I've got a decent shot at taking both dreads.

I too was a little surprised that this happened before the start of the next round

However, as I said, the point is not beat twelve in any case. That would be long odds no matter when it happened.

But just to make it clear, I only want to go to the extreme of bankrupting myself in this course of action if others are willing to react enough - I'm also looking at you CF/IH and that empty hex of twelve's, for instance.

There's no point in the Hydrani doing this if no one jumps in to bite at twelve themselves, either this round or in the following one.

You really think that there is ever going to be a better time??? Twelve cannot take any actions. He is stuck with what he has where it is. Yeah, everyone else is doing reaction moves, but unless y'all want to spend the next three rounds fighting over who is going to be in second place (also known as the first loser) this is it.
