I've got to run and I'm going to be out a good chunk of the day.
I'll influence the hex to claim the discovery tile but I need more time than I have to figure out how I want to orient the hex. I'll be back in about 6-8 hours.

I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

That shouldn't affect the next play order until it comes back round to you no?

Sure it can.
Snape's new hex's orientation doesn't really affect anyone much except maybe Tapper, but Tapper's decision on orientation will affect how GP decides to orient his hex, and those two together will influence actions by me and possibly others. Plus the discovery tile could change things a lot, too - what if he gets Jump Drive?!

Unless I get a money/materials planet on my next hex, I believe that I'm pretty much fucked already in this game. Good times!

You're already at +8 science per round. You'll be able to afford the other two Advanced ____s soon and then you'll sail right on past us.

End of round 2 and only 1 player in tier 1? Hmmm, this game is going to be interesting to watch, I've never played a game where everyone hasn't immediately piled into the middle!

What are those symbols on my newly discovered hex?
Can anyone elaborate please?
I can't find them in the book.

It's somewhere in the thread, but here are the rules for that tile: http://boardgamegeek.../eclipse-pulsar
Basically you can use it once a turn for an extra, slightly weaker action for free.

@Gnaw, your second disco is an ancient cruiser, which I think just means you get a free cruiser with the same blueprint as your own.....or does it mean you get a blueprint the same as the normal ancient cruiser? I can't recall. You can keep it or keep the VPs.

Oooooohhh. Free Cruise! Where to? Wait a second, it's not Carnival is it?
Seriously though: Huh? I missed something it seems.

If you decide to take the Ancient Cruiser, you get a free Cruiser ship placed in the hex where the discovery tile is.
