Haha sorry. I needed a link to the jpg, as its just an empty box when unspoiler the original post. No link.
I've been trying safari and dolphin as I think Gnaw suggested, and neither work. It's just hanging.
Try something else tomorrow. Sorry if I've stamped all over some unspoken forum/cyber etiquette!

I just got confused as to why your posts kept disappearing and reappearing in a different place!

What on earth has happened to all the neutron bombs? Interesting tech draw. Intrigued to see what people go for.

I am confused. Well, more confused than normal.

I decided to do an update to the board to include the new tech because I found it irritating that it wasn't there.

I discovered that conifold field is not in the tech draw pile. So I went to the rule book to see if rare tech was limited by number of players. 9 players == only 9 rare techs. That does not seem to be the case. But I did discover that the round by round tech draw is only supposed to be 11 tiles for 9 players.

1) is there a reason conifold field isn't in the tech pile in the file?

2) why did CF tell me to draw 12 tiles?

List of people D'rek was friendly and squishy with:
1. Tapper (she backstabbed and eliminated him from the game)
2. STD (viciously attacked her in return)
3. Tattersail (she eliminated him from the game)
4. Me Nice friendly alliance

So be careful :D

Heh. I was looking for answers to the above in the thread. Found this.

Morgy, would you care to comment? :D

I meant the very first, because CF just put them in the board update that time and not a seperate image. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 he posted the new tech as pictures in posts 912, 1650 and 2381.

I went back and checked them and want to find the first 1 because I was surprised to find 6 Advanced Robotics tiles in play (aka all of them)... didn't remember that many being drawn, but seems like there really were so long as one was drawn in the first round.

Yeah I realized after I answered I may have misunderstood what she was asking. I have a list of all the tech that has been drawn in the game. I'm not sure how accurate it is and I can't tell you when it was drawn. I try and update it for new tech draws and when they are purchased to give me an idea of what is still available even if it's not right at the moment.

Through powers of reduction you should be able to work backwards to see the first tech draw no?

Should, but then again what if there are errors/glitches?

Already, looking back, it seems we drew only 11 regular tech tiles for round 2 instead of 12...

I can show you my remaining techs image. Maybe it's not right...I was kind of rushing to get everything set up at first and might have put one too many or one too few of some things. I thought we got it right though...

Ya, I'm not concerned with us being +/- one tech tile, no big deal. I just meant it more as that I'm not sure if I do a process-of-elimination style count to get to the first draw if I will be right or not.

Well this answers my 12 tile question. We've been doing it the whole game.

Per the rules you draw 11 regular tech every draw after round one for a nine player game. that said if you draw a rare tech you have to draw again until you reach the regular tech limit for the number of players playing. Most rounds there has been at least one rare tech hence the twelve tiles drawn.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Somewhen that got changed to 12 regular. From his message to me:

Quote

And remember if you're picking techs that you need to choose 12 of them. Rare techs are chosen from the same "bag" but do not count in the total of 12. For example, if you picked 2 rare techs then there would actually be a total of 14 total techs added to the board at the start of the round.

It's no longer relevant since I know I did what I was supposed to do. :D

There's 35 remaining with 3 draws left. So that last draw cleanup round 8 is going to be short. *shrug*

Edit: spelling

I think I found the problem with this. It's there, but due to an idiosyncrasy in the Inkscape SVG file format. Since I have his original version as well as the latest I can figure out where it's 'hiding'.

But I'm tired and it doesn't matter for tonight. G'night.

Well. That should stir the pot just fine.

IH, assuming it gets around to you before I get up later this morning, make your decision a provisional choice please. Depending upon Tapper and Twelve picks I may have a proposition for you before you make a research choice. Assuming you're going to research something that is.

Tapper, I assume you're not going to publicly proclaim a provisional before SS makes a choice? You can PM one to GC if you want. In case SS makes a choice after you disappear into the machinery at work.

Or you could put a provisional in Tapper's stuff.

This ^ has got me in stitches by the way. WTF!?!?

Haha.
Anyway, I will be grabbing some tech today at some point, a bit busy though so I don't really know when.

So the wormhole generator will cost me 15, can I flip my colony cards at the beginning of the round?

....if I decide to take it that is.

What's annoying me is that every board update up until about a month ago has worked no problem.
Now it just doesn't show up, and when I get the link and open it in a new window with safari or dolphin it just times out. Both cellular and Wi-Fi.
Even though my GF's android will do it (well), I know it's not an iOS issue because gnaw said he used aniPad to view.
I'm using an iPhone 4S and I just can't understand it.
I haven't tried the google app, but I assume it'll be the same result.
Any other suggestions?
Other than 'sort your PC out' of course.
