I can definitely do that. After a quick re-read I see that the tech tiles should be drawn first.
Do we have quantities for each type of tech? If so I can build a randomizer to pick them.

It's 5 for the first 3 columns, 4 tiles each for the next 2 columns, and 3 for the last 3 columns, but then there's additional tech tiles added for 7-9 players. I'm not sure if I can remember where the extra ones go... I had a list from the last game but I'm not actually sure it was 100% accurate (if not, it was close!)

There are the 10 new rare technologies and 18 extra technologies. I can't remember how they are distributed though, and I can't seperate the new tiles from the old ones to check easily. It must be somewhere on boardgamegeek though...

Can't seem to find anywhere how many tech draws for 9 players. Just the same 12 as before?

I have the game borrowed from a friend right now, so I can count them when I get home (the expansion tiles have little lines on them, so should be easy enough to find them, especially knowing there's 18 of them)

Will get them drawn asap.

Ok, my numbers for tech were good
EXCEPT:
Neutron bombs - does not have an extra tile - should be 5
Monoliths - has 1 extra tile - should be 4

If you're going to use a list randomizer like random.org, here's the list of all tech tiles (took it from the last game and fixed the counts to be correct):

I am over my foreign data cap. Will let you know about the orientation when I am back home - in around 30 hours. I don't really see the need to get my orientation before I know what my near neighbours play, anyway ;-)

I have been following the development of that eclipse iphone game. I also am keen for that to hit android too.
Starting techs are up in the first post.

Ouch... not a good tech draw for Orion or Hydrans... at least not where I am.
I kind of want to go Exiles again, see if I can really make them work after last time. But on the other hand it'd be good to try something new, too, right?
aaaggghhhhh I'm torn!
