Gnaw Why!!!! You didn't have to do this. You now will leave a power vacuum for Tatts, CF and Tapper to take over. You could have totally recovered from this.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

The man is made of sterner stuff than you or I, twelve. But I had to make one small correction to your post.

Love your rosey viewpoint on your future in the game. Problem is you will have to go through CF and or Tapper to get there.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I beg to differ over whether it was recoverable.

Do the simulation. Nothing you can field scares me. When I take your homeworld which I will I will continue on into your territory.
Drek won't want to fight me yet. Twelve is happy enough in the centre, you are my picnic

Gnaw is being very diplomatic I am coming Gnaw. I am coming. I will sacrifice a few hexes like 107 next round D'rek doesn't need a war with me, morgoth and Twelve. Right now, Twelve is the biggest worry for everyone on the board with his VP total and if D'rek and Tapper want to win which they will. They will have to either trim him down or take over their neighbours. Out of Twelve and I I think d'rek may take on him because he only needs a couple of one hits. I can see him grabbing plasma missiles next round though.

I'm okay with it, I was wanting to tell someone about my upcoming moves and have been practically bursting with enthusiasm. I'm just glad it's out. I couldn't say on thread because Gnaw wouldn't have wasted 15 materials elsewhere. He's only left with 11 which is 3 starbases our something like that.easy enough for my dreads

It isn't the battle in his homeworld. It is his moving ships past his homeworld to invade my territory I should think about. Although it'd be harder for him to remove my population cubes.. I hit him once with my 2 plasma cannons and all his population cubes are destroyed.
I have zero intention of doing that. I can toast your dread. I know you don't think I can. But I will not run the risk of you deciding that your mistake was moving after passing. (That was a mistake, but not a fatal one.)
You have to give me assurances that you're not coming back when you've got 3 ships instead of 2.
You invaded me. You are now the one saying "maybe I should have stayed friends with Gnaw (for a couple more rounds).
I have no problems with that. But I'm not giving that hex up without a fight. A fight that gves me an 80% chance to win. Or, all in, 95%.
That is bollocks. You have 11 materials. Two cruiser and an interceptor on the board with no tech. Build 3 starbases and my odds go down a little.
Does that really sound like a person who can be believed when stating, "all I wanted was your home system for the artifact. I would have given it back."
Really?
So my choice was "lose to Tatts in round 5" or scorched earth.
The misreading of the rules on reaction movement will cost me. I'll likely only get one of the dreads instead of both. Surprising what affect one little generic interceptor have on a fight.

If you just accepted that Tatts was going to take your homeworld you would have generated 8 science and have over 20 materials to build ships next round. 8 science could land you either positron computers, improved hulls, plasma cannons or phase shields. Any one of those tech added to the dreadnaught and interceptor blueprints would have been enough to take back your homeworld as you could have built 2 dreads and an interceptor or two. Worst case senario you just hold the line until you could bring your cruisers back in or you get an additional tech that your superior numbers would have tipped the scales. You could have replaced some of your losses by attacking that ancient hex on the other side of the supernova hex. Tatts wouldn't have gotten any farther into your territory and you would have lived another day to fight on.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Just accept it twelve, Gnaw is a 'victory or death' sort of general. Whereas I'm a 'live to fight another day...or run away again' sort, and you are 'change the history record books afterward' sort

Yeah, it just about isn't suicide, but it is going to create one hell of a power vacuum, gnaw is either out for the count (well actually he will almost certainly have some surviving ships, though whether he'll have any hexes is debatable) or severely weakened. Tats will probably lose at least one dread, so is going to be weakened too. God knows what is going to happen next.

Yeah, I will have to pass alas
I could pray for luck, but that has worked really well for me so far.

If Tatts had done the smart thing and attacked D'rek instead, this would have been a much different game.

As soon as d'rek built that dreadnought I'd have a dread in her home world, and there would have been very little she could have done.

That's be only 12 plus five income. 17 with _21 and hardly anything to trade. Is it legal?
This is like the kid who takes his ball home cause someone just scored a goal against him. You entering to get another cruiser in there? I think it's gameover even if you take out both my dreads. Just to what? Ruin my chances, okay then. Seems petty.

Your turn 11 will be minus 25 with nothing to trade, you have no resources to trade either and no upkeep. That hole is getting deeper and wider

I can't go bankrupt until cleanup phase.
Petty? I cannot control how you feel about it.
I told you numerous times I'd bankrupt myself before giving up my home system.
I told you numerous times that I could take your dreads.
I offered you numerous opportunities to change your mind.
You told me on at least 3 occasions that you were going to wipe me out. After the combat phase is over I will be out of the game. So, yes, you have wiped me out. Your stated goal is accomplished.
