So Morgoth you going to do another action or are you finally going to throw in the towel and pass?

Oh, we're waiting for me? My apologies. Actually, I kind of want an update, just so I'll be sure of my economic situation and have everything right in front of me.

@D'rek,

Well. That improves things considerably. You've gone from about 15% chance of winning to about 60% chance of winning. Not the best odds ever, but a massive improvement.

@SS - confirm pass
@Tapper - confirm pass
@Twelve - Have you settled on passing now? I think that's what I read.
@me - I pass
@Khell - back to you I guess?

It's so absurd to see all the smallest players fight it out while the big ones are left alone, and, more importantly, leave each other alone.

There's only 2 big players - GP and twelve - and GP is fighting Gnaw!

I see you have left yourself off that list Ms I have 6 hexes and one of them is a former homeworld of another player. Posted Image

Solid has a lot of hexes but for all practical purposes they are mostly signle planet hexes so I think we can safely say he doens't fit into that category.... yet.

Not by points count! Where did that count I made go...?

I'm coming for you twelve. Now that I've dispatched the Rho Indi, Terrans, and...whatever the hell Tatts is (Magellans??) in one cunning round, I'm coming after you. One too many fried squid jokes.

And by coming for you, I mean that Tapper and D'rek are going to get you while you attempt to feast on my systems. Classic Hydran tactic.

A bit too quick and thick with the hubris mate. I really do blame you for my current predicament. And I currently like you less than I like Tatts.

Hubris was ever my downfall (games-wise. In real life I really am very nice and polite!). It is a failing I've learned to embrace and, indeed, revel in (hehe, if KL ever read this thread she would be saying very horrible things about me :D ).

But dislike me even more than Tatts? That's a lot of dislike! Think about these things before you say them! In any case, I am very genuinely grateful for the intervention. My game would have been over without it - I held no faith in those positron computers helping me with anything.

As you said - one hex too far. Perhaps that was hubris too? :)

I didn't say anything about disliking anybody. 1 to 10 scale. He dropped to 9 with the invasion. You dropped to 8 once I realized just how large an error I made in listening to you
:)
And the one hex too far was most definitely hubris. And fucking stupid. :D

Either one hex less or if you went after some ancients instead AND you backed off trying to make Tatts pay this round for his betrayal and you are still sitting very pretty and I was going to mention that you are a noob no more as you have an excellent grasp of the game. But alas it was a good thing I held off on the praise as it looks a bit premature.

Oh, and it is now your turn Gnaw. We'll have to wait for Tatts to make his next reaction if he takes one and then I think Morgoth has to pass or else he bankrupts himself out of the game.

You're so mean and miserly with your praise! Gnaw understood and utilised highly effectively a mechanic of the game that even you didn't know about! How he has so quickly grasped this game of which I still understand only about 20% is beyond me. I'd definitely put him down as one of the favourites for next game.

I agree that he has come very far very fast but he still very well could eliminate himself from the game when he really didn't need to. Even with his overstep with CF he could have recovered from that and challenged for the win. Him going all out to take down Tatts even if successful set him back farther than if he just let Tatts take his homeworld as he still would have received the resources from his homeworld without losing his starbases in trying to defend it. As it stands he will likely lose a good portion of this resource generation on top of his ship lose that could have been used to fight back next round. There is nothing wrong with running like a coward. Just look at yourself there Khell. You came back and took what was taken from you and you will in all likelyhood add a very strong hex to your empire to boot.

Gnaw does deserve praise for mostly playing a very good game. I may have been too harsh in my criticisim for his latest mistakes.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I believe so and Morghy has to pass or else he will go completely bankrupt and will be eliminated.

Edit:

At least I think. I haven't ran the numbers completely yet I just know he will have to bankrupt more than one hex and 2 of his three hexes have money planets so I don't know how that will affect his upkeep.

Edit Edit:

Did a quick check and he could lose a money hex and still be able to pay for his upkeep even losing a money planet so I was wrong in my assumption
