Yeah!!! Where the F is Morgoth anyway? He usually makes an apearance by now doesn't he?
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

@breaks
Let's play until Friday and try to get the round finished up. We're close and I promise to do the combat so everyone knows where we stand when we break.
If IH is unavailable until the 9th and Tapper not for another week after that, I think it's reasonable to break for a week. I certainly can do without the distraction (as much as I love the distraction secretly).
@Gnaw
It was brought to my attention by another player via PM that you might not understand the rule regarding return of diplomatic cubes to the population tracks....and when I go back through your posts it *does* seem like you were trying to place them in the spots they were taken from. Just letting you know the rule: You can put them back on any track you want, regardless of their point of origin.
So if that affects where you decided to put them, you're free to take a mulligan. It doesn't affect the rest of us at all.
EDIT
@Gnaw again
Yes, you did bring up that money issue before and I'm sorry for forgetting about it when you brought it up the first time. Fixed now.

Gnaw, how about I only take your homeworld and then we form an alliance again?

You have the traitor card for the moment sir, so you are barred from forming new diplomatic relations.
I'm sure that won't last long though.
@Khell,
Have you considered my offer of diplo again? I can sure as hell use the production.

I'll do it if you move your cruiser from Beta Hydri.

@khell,
Yes, that was the plan. There's no real way I can win against your cruiser now, and I'd planned on vacating the hex even if Gnaw hadn't decided to invade.
My next move will be the last one I can afford this round, so count on me moving that cruiser out of Hydrani space.

hmm. how about you promise to retreat w/o firing? I won't kill you. You give up my system. and then you can form an alliance once somebody else has the card,

Cool, I'll do it then, but I'll wait until you've moved the cruiser. Don't want to have to go taking that traitor card if you change your mind

And still no Morgoth!!!!!!
Someone give the slacker a call. Surely someone must have his personal number. I think Vengy might have it. I'll go ask him so we can get the story.

He can't retreat. You are both pinning each other. Best you could hope for is for him to murder your interceptor and then not make an attempt at bombing your planets.
@GP
Rather than build another dread, you'd probably be better off tossing a third plasma cannon. You have the initiative and the chances of you missing (and him hitting) 2 rounds in a row are vanishingly small.
Reason I suggest it is that the third plasma cannon would give you a much better chance at removing his population cubes without really endangering your ship at all.

It isn't the battle in his homeworld. It is his moving ships past his homeworld to invade my territory I should think about. Although it'd be harder for him to remove my population cubes.. I hit him once with my 2 plasma cannons and all his population cubes are destroyed.
