Gnaw if you would like to open up diplomatic relations I would be willing, you will be able to discard an extra population cube, It will also prevent either of us from attacking each other early on in the game. I think I am going to have my hands full with Morgoth.

Initial board is up folks.

Found some time last night to edit.

Please have a close look (especially the experienced players) and make sure I did everything right.

I haven't populated homeworlds yet, and want to make sure I had all of the pieces laid out correctly for all factions first.

File size is about 3.5Mb, and it is a jpg rather than a PDF. My graphics editor is having a seriously hard time coping with the size of the file and crashes if I even move my mouse cursor near the "convert to pdf" buttton.

I still think the one-image format is the way to go. You won't be able to see the board in the spoiler tags, but on testing I found if you just open the spoiler, right click and either open the image in a new browser tab, or download it to your favourite photo viewer, then navigation is much easier.

I'm going to look at what goes into uploading such files to a google-maps type viewer online...cos it would be freaking cool if we could navigate the image as easily as satelite imagery on google.

The only impact I think it could have is that the order of battles being resolved might now be different between Tatts' homeworld and CF's homeworld. Theoretically, this could make a difference if Tatts was in a battle in both those places and the results of the first made them change their strategy in the second (RETREAT!!!), but the odds of that being a factor are really, really low I think. I wouldn't even have caught this except I recognize the name Mu Arae from last game :apt:

Right, thanks. I knew there'd be a few things. I will have it all corrected for game start Monday. As for the magellans, the rules don't specify a certain hex number with a certain faction...it just lists the 3 possibilities under the race description. I can change it to whatever you want though; It only takes a second.


So everyone, knowing what you have for a homeworld and which population cubes will be placed on it, please submit your choice for pop cube discard.


Pirates will be discarding a moneycube.

Ok, I just posted the available hexes for this game on Page 1. Please also have a look there and make sure I didn't leave anything out.

I didn't have the pulsar tiles, and nobody seemed overly keen on them, so I just didn't include them. Unless somebody has strong opinion otherwise then let's not bother hey? Also, I won't be updating that file. If you want to track hexes and have the same advantage as me in seeing how many of each type are left, then you're free to do so.

Also, anything else folks would like to see in the reference posts? 99.9% of what d'rek posted last time is covered in the two rulebooks. I'll keep the race references up for now too, but will spoiler the whole post to keep page 1 compact.

The thing that I noticed was Khell's homeworld orientation, I thought that at least one wormhole had to be pointed towards the GC. As it stands Khell has no wormholes pointed in that direction.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
