That's what I was thinking. That and round 1 was very tough for me to keep ahead of....with explore orders being issued and then trying to remember who wanted which orientation.

I predict with reduced explores as the game progresses (there are 10 tier 3 explores left I think, unless the homeworlds count as part of the total tier 3 count), player actions will be much easier to process.


Pace of the game is fine with me. Besides most of the delay can be blamed on Khell. :p.
Actually I'm going to change mine from provisional to action. Explore NW. Show me what I've won CF!

Well as I'm super mister impatient I wouldn't mind a faster pace but as I am realistic enough to understand this would be a beast to mod I'm not complaining. I'd be willing to mod at some point in the future but I understand the time commitment it takes to mod even a simple mod job like Diplomacy where I only have to do two simple map updates each week I can't imagine the time it takes to update the game map and all the little pieces involved in this game.Frankly I just don't have that kind of spare time. Plus the basic fact that I wouldn't even know how to mod this game at all due to my frankly piss poor tech savyness pretty much eliminates me from every being a viable mod for this game.

Besides I think you are doing a good job when you do the updates and we are only in early round 2. By the time the game hits round 4 where most of the map updates will be just ship placements and player boards I think you will be a pro at it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yes, it is already a big relief not having everybody making explores. Last action round took about 20 min to update. 5 minutes to update everybody else and about 15 to figure out what the hell I wanted to do.

Goddamn it, I am trying to sleep!!! Bank holiday weekend, AND a miracle - 3 hot sunny days in the UK, on a long weekend. I haven't slept in almost all that time, because sun and warmth and fun and weekend! So exhausted, amd I have little to absolutely no idea what's going on in this game or in mafia.


EXPLORE north-east of homeworld, in that weird gap CF and I have left.

Hilarious tile to get for that cramped spot. An ancient hive! You going to keep that? It could cause us some grief, though I'm not massively upset about it either way.

In the expansion rulebook it says that the ancient ships have WH generators for the purposes of exiting the hive hex, so all 6 hexes are potential targets for their movements.

I doesn't much matter to me what you do. It will keep me mulling around home sectors for a few extra turns, but I get money from combat so it's no biggie. It offers a good VP boost, but not much in the way of planets as a reward. I don't have much more to offer than that.

Ha, I know. I can take down a single ancient without much effort so I'm not overly worried.

Given what's left though, I can see him wanting to ditch it in favour of a better hex. A lonely material planet and advanced econ is a shitty reward for slaying 3 ancients. For everyone's reference, including the 2 recent explores by Gnaw and Khell, there are 15 tier 3 hexes on the board. Here are the remaining Tier 3 hexes:

EDIT, note the warp portal hex in the 2nd column has a wormhole on its North side; the scanned image I was working wasn't complete.

EDIT EDIT - same for the warp portal hex in the 3rd column; it has a wormhole on its SouthEast side.
