iirc the wraiths were Andii not Edur...after all it was Rake who had set the other Andii to guard the throne. ...

I certainly think the Pure Kin are other Edur, maybe Trull refers to them as pure because they would not join Rhulad, therefore they were not tainted by the poison of the Crippled God. This would explain why Rhulad and his Edur would want to kill other Edur, because they refused to join with him...
At first I thought they were Edur too and it does make sense, however doesn't it say in the books that in the search in the fragments of KE Rhulad's edur didn't find any other Edur? And that Nascent was actually populated by humans?

wouldn't the shorner have to be Binadas? Otherwise how would they get in and out of the warren? It's possible that someone is sending them back and forth, but I'm guessing it's easier to assume that there is a sorceror among the group that is proviidng a means of travel.
Then again it seems like we've got some time between the end of MT and the Shorning so there is time for all sorts of events like Rhuald getting a new body, Fear returning, Binadas becoming a power player, Canarth paying back Trull for embarassing him in single combat....etc.
When Rhuald is on the island with Withal and CG he seems to be somewhat more sane and it never mentions him being covered in Gold. Isn't it possible that when Rhuald is in another realm he isn't covered in his golden armor? I don't remember ever reading about the Shorners physical description.

I also thought the shorner was Binadas, having joined Rhulad and Hannon Mosag in becoming a direct servant of the CG. I think if it had been Rhulad we'd have had some coins falling symbolically to the ground and evoking pathos from Trull. Later Karsa whacks Binadas.

I'm not decided on whether it was Rhulad or Binadas (I have trouble believing in Binadas turning so evil so fast), but it's only Rhulad's soul appearing on the CG's island, not his body. And Rhulad would have a mental image of himself in his youthful, unscarred prime. (residual self image, haha)
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

For the sake of us who are in the middle of BH right now, please watch the spoilers in the MT forum. Please. For the love of god and my enjoyment of SE's writing.

Hey, unless it's absolutely needed for my point (and then it'll be in spoiler tags) I'll pretend not to know any specifics from TBH, like above. Less death threats that way.

The mule was a brother in the community sense. He was actually an Edur who set out to reclaim the Throne of Shadows, but Shadowthorne caught him and turned him into a mule. But that wasn't punishment enough, so Shadowthorne thought long and hard and finally sent the Mule to be the servant of Pust. Of course the Mule had a few sick days handy, so he took a mini-vacation to the scenic Nascent and took part in El Shorning.

Party pooper.
I don't think there are any hints actually given in the text, that would suggest who the shorner was, so we can pretty much suggestion anyone.

I think it was Binadas. He knows how Thrull thinks and he also knows that Thrull is against what the Edur are doing. So maybe he hoped to 'free' Thrull with the shorning and give him a chance to live somewhere else, or get allys to kick Rhualds and CG a$$

It was Rhulad. You can tell by the way he talks, like he is making imperial pronouncments that he doesn't quite know if everyone believes. The shorning happened both because Trull wouldn't kill Rhulad when ordered to, and because Fear took off, and Trull took the fall for it.
