With the population of owners halved and two admins vanishing to the warrens, that means you need more admins right? I nominate Illy

Illy as admin would not be a good thing. I generally get some amusement and information from his posts, but no. We'd all wake up one morning and see "YOU TICK ILLY OFF ON RANDOM TOPIC X AND YOU GET GIANT COCKS FOR A FORUM THEME" set for the entire forum instead of the one person that Illy is trying to target in a misuse of admin powers.

That's not true at all! All power misuse would be solely limited to messing with profiles and avatars, though why you think a day where the background is a collage of huge chickens would be a bad idea is beyond me.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Thank you both very much for running this place.

Because it was up and running and so awesome, I met someone worth moving 4000km to be with, and made a whole bunch of other friends.
Thank you so much

And Silencer, being an admin didn't help you win any of our discussions, so don't think being Queen of the forum will either ^_^

I object to that analogy! Hetan is staying in the corridors of power and I certainly have no intention of falling victim to some Mallick Rel!

*ahem* Yes, the title of official site owner is variable-gendered, so I have taken the liberty of adjusting your mistake for you in the above quote. You are just lucky that this particular admin has a sense of humour. :)

(And you're right, it didn't help. I win all the discussions anyway. :p)

Thank you Hetan and Mal for overseeing and running a wonderful community for all of us to participate in as fans of Malazan and everything else that have crossed our crazy minds. You've been nothing but gracious with your time and work with this site that we all love so very, very much.

If only you still didn't get the super-duper early proof copies of SE's books, I'd almost be sad. Instead, I'm still just incredibly, incredibly jealous.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I dont know what id do without this site sometimes...

ZOMGROFLMFAO! :p

It's funny because it's Georgio Tsoukalos, otherwise that would fall flat. But because it's him (and he is inherently hilarious) that is making my day right now. Nice context, worry. :p

Silencer loves Morrowind, therefore Silencer is awesome. That's all I need to know.

Hey, I love Morrowind, does that make me awesome too?

And Silencer the new hat will be the forum owner's hat. Obviously.

I'm going to shamelessly abuse my Hetan/Mal-granted admingod powers to override the lock long enough to say thank you Hetan.

Thank you for all your time and effort and patience and masichism in taking this forum on, keeping it going, and playing a massive role in making it what i and i know many others consider to be the finest, funnest, least irritating fan forum on the internet, AND giving us the bestest place to chat about our favourite author(s) and a pile of other stuff.

Personally, this forum is a huge part of why SE is my favorite author, a great distraction during boring work days, and my major source of contact with like-minded fans, and i'd be poorer without it.

- Abyss, ...

This, very much.
Thanks Hetan for everything.
but are they worth preserving?

We should come up with a new title for Silencer if he indeed takes over as tyrannical overlord.

I suggest one of the following:

"El Jefe"

"El Presidente"

or the slang version

"El Preppsie"

Durnit, I forgot. Thanks for the good work Hetan, you are awesome! I have spoken!
