Also, there is absolutely, definitely, no relation with the timing of Hetan's announcement, and the selection of the new Pope.

Right, like she's silly enough to downgrade from head of Malazan fans to head of Catholicism...

I thought it was rather curious that there has not been a pope who chose the name Francis until now.
but are they worth preserving?

I'm not being an ass on purpose but I thought Francis was a female name?
Usually only female when spelled 'Frances'.

Mildly interesting choice, from a secular perspective one of the lesser eveils among the candidates.

As wrong as this is, the guy isn't even Latino. Still...

Quote

"Let's not be naïve, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies[61] that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God."
- Pope Nouveaux on a 2010 Argentinian Gay marriage bill.

So he believes in the corporeal machinations of a physical living embodiment of evil that I know for a fact he's never seen over two real, breathing people who express their existence to each other in a way of permanence and legitimate unconditional love?

Theorizing that one could poop within his own lifetime, Doctor Poopet led an elite group of scientists into the desert to develop a top secret project, known as QUANTUM POOP. Pressured to prove his theories or lose funding, Doctor Poopet, prematurely stepped into the Poop Accelerator and vanished. He awoke to find himself in the past, suffering from partial amnesia and facing a mirror image that was not his own. Fortunately, contact with his own bowels was made through brainwave transmissions, with Al the Poop Observer, who appeared in the form of a hologram that only Doctor Poopet could see and hear. Trapped in the past, Doctor Poopet finds himself pooping from life to life, pooping things right, that once went wrong and hoping each time, that his next poop will be the poop home.

Is there really a new pope? I thought that was just some weird move to hype up Dan Brown's new book.

Well the name used in the ceremony is Francesco, which is a male name (the female version being Francesca).
We are the Vord. Prepare to be assimilated. Furycrafting is futile.
