heh, so there were 1 of each faction in the end.

Drek's fake PM threw me for a loop lol

It really really shouldn't have. You all had the info of who was who on thread!! But in the end all it did was work out in your favour. Had D'rek not done that, HD would not have guarded her, she would have done a find on you and found out you were not Sadeas like she had hoped.

Good Game all :p

That was fun.

You played it masterfully from start to finish.
Though some of us were sorta hoping for the wipe, which was a possibility.
Congrats.

Yep, Mentalist did a great recruiting job.

This galls me to hear... I helped Mentalist win a game. :sigh:

Indeed, wait till you see his post in SH celebrating the fact that you had to win the game for him :p

Congratulations Thanadar and especially ex-Sadean the Dude, well played!!

D'rek, HD....

:p

How is it a facepalm? As far as we knew, Ruse was guaranteed a recruit ability which could instantly end whatever faction we were in, so taking him out made sense. HD should've guarded Kaschan, though :p

Only people who could recruit were the HPs.

I told you I thought I might have guarded the wrong person, lol.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

No, lynching Ruse was the correct thing. Making HD guard you instead of the Dude was not :p Had you not done that fake action post, things might have worked out a little differently...although there was no telling who HD was going to guard as his original provisional was set on Ruse.

Good game Dude.
HD, sorry I revealed there. I know you weren't quite happy, but I really saw no other option since I knew Fener had been recruited from beneath me, same for OE. Believe me, I thought of every option, and chose to go with fearmongering. I was trying to set the stage for a Parshendi hunt, so you could pull it out.

I hope a team with 3 killers and one recruiter can win, lol.

I think what screwed me up about the mechanics were 4 killers in a 19 person game. That would be a VERY short game. In this instance it was in game days, but not length because of no lynches, long nights, etc.

I am curious about this grudge. Anyone care to enlighten me? Or has it got to the point that no one actually remembers? :p

his very first (or second?) game was Gemsy's Heroes game. we all had roles of characters from Heroes. He got an absolutely awesome role of Adam, the sidekick of evil Sylar.

DiBsy was Isaak, and could "paint" every players' provisional NAs.

I was Nikki, the psycho vig. I needed to get recruited to win. I concluded that in order to maximise my chances of victory night 1, I had to kill Adam. I switched my prov about 4 times (trying to figure out who it was by the process of elimination, based on DiBsy's paintings), and my last, seemingly arbitrary, change resulted in the Dude's untimely demise. Because he had the coolest role, and he got killed night 1, he never really forgave me.

The game thread's still around, if you're capable of trawling through about 1000 posts of Grief-Spam. I DID outpost him that game, though. (barely)

EDIT: that game was around Halloween '08. Fuck, that makes me feel old.
