In all seriousness, I like the idea of voting Olar Ethil. Day 1 is going to be a crapshoot, particularly in a faction game where everybody's being extra-cagey because their own team is so much smaller than a full town side would be.

If I am forced into voting at some point, my vote would go there, as it's the least potentially harmful random choice, what with them not actually being around.

Depends if they actually turn up or not I suppose. In a game where a number of people have said they're not going to be able to post a lot it's a bit rough to pick on people for low posting. Now if they're low posting and not posting content later in the game I don't have a problem with it I guess (provided they're not on my team )

Then again it's much easier to vote for someone who hasn't been around rather than someone who has, and it helps avoid a really boring later game filled with low posters.

Pointless. If OE doesn't turn up on day 1 then he/she will be modkilled as per standard rules of Mafia. Why waste a vote unless you are certain somehow they are not in your faction?

No, not pointless. Cowardly! If someone else is lynched and Olar is modkilled, that's two chances that someone in your faction will die. Lynch the player about to be modkilled, and that's only one chance of someone in your faction dying day 1.

I think (and at almost 5 pages it would take too much effort to get the details right) that Tennes, Telas, and I were signaling with bugs, rabbits, Orson Scott Card, and other things. Fener because he self-reported getting a stiffy after watching a cyclist v car incident. Olar because he hasn't checked in. Silanah vote has something to do with racist Hawaiians and pizza.
