Wales too streetwise on the day - all those caps and previous Grand Slam experience was too much for what is still a very inexperienced England team. Fair play - they took their chances - England butchered two or three huge overlaps with 3 on 2. Wales bossed the breakdown and the scrum and with an arse like Walsh riffing - no chance.

The most amusing comment was Brian Moore to Shane Williams "this is not the benchmark - it is the Southern Hemisphere teams" Bearing in mind that Wales as Grand Slam champions last year were abject, and England were mostly abject until a sublime game against the ABs

Next stop the Lions - hope Gatland does not just pick his mates from Wales - needs to have Tipuric, Beattie, Brown, Croft, Robshaw in his backrow mix - and Halfpenny/Hogg/Kearney at FB. Irish will struggle through Zebo should go if fit. Could be an awesom team to whip Aussie ass

Gentlemen, I am currently sweating rum and nursing the worst hangover I have ever experienced. What a game, what an occasion, priceless memories. I will post a proper response when I have recovered from watching the biggest ever flogging of England by Wales at home. In the meantime maybe these pics will help.

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Still waiting for a masans saddle fully letting rip post...I know that makes me seem like a glutton for punishment but I feel like I need the closure! I was expecting something, it never came & now I'm left with unresolved tension!

I'm sorry Simeon I feel like I've let you down.

If I understand you correctly, the sense of "expecting something that never came" could arguably be equated to failed wish fulfillment and in this you are not alone. In fact there are currently hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of like minded individuals who like you, on March 16th expected something to happen. They all, like you, need closure. They need the memory of another failed Grand Slam eroded from their memories, they need the imagery of an England scrum in meltdown to go away, they need the haunted, dejected and sad little faces of their much vaunted team to disappear, they need to stop blaming the ref ( REALLY ! I know he's a preening twat but look at the stats.). In fact they just want the nightmare to end and to turn those frowns upside down. If I can in any way help with this, I'm here for you all. There is no shame in asking for help

Oh and your feelings of "unresolved tension" are well documented, I thought being married would have helped with this. :p

I have never heard the anthem sung as well as this before. The roof was closed and it was spine chilling, the floor was vibrating and to be honest I really did fancy our chances. I could spend pages eulogizing about the Welsh performance but I won't because I'm here to help. Suffice to say that foundations were laid with the anthem. What followed was the most comprehensive beating I've seen for many a year. England were outplayed in every facet of the game and the fact that Roundtree has complained to the IRB about Walsh's performance is just poor form imo. As Fid mentioned above Wales were just a lot smarter and more experienced than England when it came to playing the ref, the fact that they took Marler off after 40 odd mins is testament to this.

I hope the footage above helps to give you some sort of closure in that you can marvel at the beauty of the game we love and perhaps look ahead to the Lions tour against Australia this summer. It's time to put petty nationalistic squabbling to bed and unite against the ungrateful convicts who owe us their very existence. I hope this helps you Simeon, I really do. But before I go perhaps you could help me.

What time does it say in the picture ?

Thanks. You make my unresolved tension just... squirt away! Hang on...

Anyway yes I get the joke, not half past two but thirty to three yada yada yada... I'm still getting stick from work colleagues and I don't think that is going to stop no matter how well the lions play...

Is Rugby really this big over there? I'm not knocking it, I'm just curious. I don't think I've ever even seen a real Rugby game.
