So with Khell's track record for self inflicting wounds for him and his team, does IH really even want him on his team.

Does Khell really even want IH on his team, or want to be in a team at all? Khell has so far blocked off EM quite easily, so there's just one person who can touch him for now. If things heat up and people are at each others' throats but Khell isn't involved he can just sit in his corner building shrines, exploring and researching, racking up points. If he joins an alliance and can't contribute ships to it, his partner just gets beaten down and Khell either loses points from betraying the alliance or gets his own points dragged down by averaging with his partner.

I don't mind everyone getting warm and friendly with peace pacts, but I don't want the game to split into one side vs the other side on round 2. That just seems like it will make the game less fun. Like how I didn't build a 2nd interceptor and move through the ancient to attack Tattersail in round 1 - seemed like it would just escalate and de-fun the game.
