Except that CF and twelve also have to contend with their war in the north. They can't succeed on both fronts. You can't win EM, but you can decide who wins.

I have an embarrassing confession to make. I've been popping in and out of this thread all weekend waiting for the next person to make their move so that I could start thinking about mine...and only now did I remember that I'm the one who comes after EM. Erm, ooops? As it is, I am yet to decide on what to do, as I've been waiting on this non-existent other person before thinking about it.


In other news, I find EM's move extremely intriguing. One of the things I'm considering is breaking diplo with CF by going into Beta Leonis - the longer term benefits of the breakup of the human/cylon empire might outweigh the short-term costs of breaking diplo.

Well my thoughts about going for defense this phase proved right I think. I can fortify the motherfuck out of beta leonis this phase, but I'm not going to be good for much else.

We should also consider (by next time it comes around to you) re-influencing beta sextis, either by me or by you. If me then I could drop a couple of more space stations in there. I can also bring ships in to help from B. Leonis.

Not sure why you'd go directly for an enemy that has potential to stop you when you can just as easily warp through Delta Corvi and attack D'rek's homeworld this turn. I mean, I know "revenge" and all that, but if you want to get some VPs and actually play the game to win, there are way better ways to do it than coming after me/twelve. Just sayin'....whatevs though.

Same thing. I don't get the win-logic. You get -3 VP penalty (-1 for losing the diplo and -2 for traitor card) for attacking me, when you could easily keep those points, use your resources to build the last few shrines you have available, and increase your currently winning margin. You could also research monoliths and with the VPs those generate by the end of next round, you'd be the clear winner regardless of everyone else's meager combat gains.

It would be pretty funny if we both did a move of 2 interceptors to mu herculis with interceptors and pinned both of EMs' ships. We might lose all 4 interceptors in the combat phase, but could probably inflict some material damage before they die. It's the best way I can think of to stop his potentially moving on Beta Sextis.

Alternate move might be to drop ships in Khell's homeworld and force him to defend there instead of someplace less convenient.

I dunno, it looks more or less like everyone is just going to join an informal alliance (especially khell and EM) against us this turn no matter what, and if they all do then there ain't a fuck of a lot we can do to stop it.

If we are going to aim for defense, then I can take care of Beta Leonis. You probably should focus on the GC and Beta Sextis. Not sure what to do about the northern front really.
