My high school classmate and friend Mindy Mejia currently has her latest novel All You Want Me to Be on sale at Amazon.com for $2.99:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D8VHOY2/

Don't know much about it other than it's a thriller/mystery, and has gotten good reviews. It'll probably be my vacation reading next week.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

THE VAGRANT by Peter Newman is $2.99 on Amazon. Great price. I grabbed it as it's the first on a series that's getting decent reviews.

Heh, yeah I've heard tell of this fact. Grabbed it based off Mark Lawrence's review of it on GR.

I spotted that The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet is cheapo on both Amazon and Kobo. It is a lovely book and you should get it.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

No prob. I recommend signing up for this daily deals email service: I've found the first 6 Lanhkar books through here throughout the past year, as well as a bunch of other good deals. (Stuff like Brian Aldiss' Helliconia trilogy omnibus for $1.99.)

Tor's free ebook o the month is Jacqueline Carey's KUSHIEL'S DART.

http://ebookclub.tor.com/

Haven't read it myself but some seem to enjoy the series.

Also, amazon.com's Kindle store has more sf/fant than usual at stupid low prices... now i don't recognize most of the books there (and if any of you do and think they're worthwhile please chime in).... but buried amidst the self-pub'd epic fantasy trilogies and pseudo edgy cyberpunk is a whole lot of Vonnegut, some Baxter, some Reynolds, the WOOL GN...
and NIGHT OF KNIVES.
Worth a look.

I haven't read it myself yet, but Ada Palmer's Too Like The Lightning is in there, that's an SF debut from last year that got a lot of love. The sequel's out already so she's putting the series out rapidly, worth a look.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.
