Trying to decide which Audible Plus leaving in early August to try to get in after I finish The Book That Held Her Heart... most appealing options seem to be Rivers of London and the first book of the series True Blood is based on.

I'd guess that Rivers of London might be better written, but I generally haven't been all that into urban fantasy or detective stories. Also not all that into vampires or romance, but I did love True Blood---IDK how much of the dialogue is lifted from the books---and I loved Anne Rice when I was a child.

There's also book four of Michael Sullivan's Legends of the First Empire but I doubt I'd want to skip the first three books. Bizarre that Audible Plus only includes book four.
