Thanks, guys. I was also confused that Xavier was suddenly not dust, so I really wonder how they're going to scavenge plot from X3 and avoid consequences like that.

Saw it last night and thought it was damn good! The pacing was decent and I loved disillusioned young Xavier. The scene in the kitchen with Quicksilver was great. However, I feel like the future stuff got short shrift - wasn't there more of a storyline in the future setting in the comics? I haven't read DoFP in years, but I recall that there was more...Also, the table that Wolverine was lying on in the future was very familiar (not just the table, but the design on it too), but I can't remember where it was from. I feel like that table may have been used in Farscape...

Was there a scene after the credits? My urge to pee overwhelmed my desire to stay until they had rolled. (Is this what the slow decline toward a middle-aged bladder feels like? Save me, I'm only 22!)

EDIT: Now that I think about it, isn't Magneto Quicksilver's dad? Awks.

Yepp in both cases. Quicksilver even aluded to it that his mom used to know a guy who could manipulate metal or something. The scene was about the next villain

A short sequence of Apocalpyse building a pyramid while the four horsemen lurk on a hill nearby, as the next film is called Apocalypse as far as I know it wasn't exactly surprising but awsome

Rumour from the production team is that isn't Scarlet Witch. That it's either a non-mutant sister, or Polaris. But I'd rather it was SW to be honest.

I got to about half an hour before the end of the film and the power cut out at the cinema. I wasnt happy I was really enjoying it aswell as was the gf whose never seen any of the xmen films before.

Good stuff. Loved seeing the First Class actors, but the future scenes versus the Sentinels are just ungodly amounts of awesomeness.

Excellent movie.

I always felt First Class actors did a better job, had more gravity in their performance and thats why I liked First class so much more than the previous movies. In Days of Futures Past we got to see everyone in a much more solid role. Hugh Jackmans Wolverine is always spot on but everyone else rose to the occasion aswell.

Quick nearly outshone everyone else. All in all X-mens best movie yet.

not any of the movie at all! He has no cameo, with two given reasons; one, that he had a scheduling conflict and couldn't make it, and two, that people would finish, realise they didn't see him, and watch it again to catch him this time. I believe it's totally the second.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. As everyone has said Evan Peters as Quicksilver was probably the best scene. I really liked First Class and love Michael Fassbender anyway so thought this was very good.

Im not sure how they deal with this in the comic but I found the 'happy ending' a bit difficult to believe. Supposedly Mystique was captured after shooting a weapons designer and this caused the establishment to rethink their initial rejection of Trasks Sentinel program. Yet a mutant drops a stadium on top of the whitehouse, almost kills the president and announces a broadcast live on tv to the world about the superiority of mutants and they dont go with it? They were saved by Mystique admittedly but only after she pointed a gun at the president before dropping it. If anything wouldnt this speed along the process of mutant persecution if maybe not in the form of the Sentinel prgram? As I say never read the comics so im not sure how they deal with it in that

I'm summarizing roughly 20+ years of stories here, but in the comics the X-Men foil Mystique's attempt, which derails the immediate DoFP future of Sentinel domination, but, because the story plays out with a massive public fight between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants which both increases and moderates anti-mutant hysteria, it triggers a few alt futures, primarily one where humans remain in control and put mutants in camps, and another where mutants rise up and take over. Of all the various alt futures, there aren't many where humans and mutants get all cuddly, tho some are better than others, notably Bishop's future where moderate humans take over, end the camps and allow mutants to police themselves.

So the ramifications of it are not simply a headline saying 'mutant saves president' thus allowing everyone to be all cuddly as you say. Makes much more sense than the mutants cause mass casualties and panic, threaten the presidents life and then threaten the earth, oh its ok though as she didnt actually shoot him merely pointed a gun at him and influential members of the american government in the height of the cold war.
