HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

Celebrating Halloween by watching Assassins Creed 3 playthroughs. Haytham's relationship with Connor is hilarious (until, you know, it becomes tragic).

Just having a quiet 5 minutes in the new ensuite (now I finished it). The shower is awesome.
My little girl still refuses to accept daylight saving times, so I was up at 5... again.
Dammit, times up, she's found me.

Are you gonna shoot shotguns into the forest again?

I blame that time your father stopped to help your mother change that flat tire.
It's obvious she let the air out of that tire herself.
Right now I'm off work until Monday, so watching 'Science of Stupid' and delving into the subtle mysteries of the environment that had to exist to forge the worrywort we have today.

I'm watching through the Disney Canon (best movie animated movie Disney has ever had a hand in is still Lilo & Stitch, seriously on that Frozen kick like a decade before Frozen was a thing) and I just watched Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Holy shit that villain song is in a children's movie. Like did Disney just dissect the cognitive dissonance of a man who thinks he owns a women while preaching he is pure through song? Did they really by proxy of that song approach and come in contact the feminist notions of the problem of patriarchy?
I missed some much sub-text as a child like daaaaamn.

Studlock, I absolutely adore that film. As a study of the role of religion as both a justification for atrocity and an inspiration for a loving, compassionate life it's outstanding. Although as you say, not exactly kid's stuff.
I consider Frollo to be the best bad guy in Disney history, far more evil than some bint giving her step daughter a dodgy piece of fruit or some jerk getting the hump because the girl he fancies wants to get it on with a beast man.

I haven't seen it a very long time I remember being scared by the song because of the red cloak guys. Now I'm just amazed the relatively conservative Disney allowed Frollo be a thing (I know the primary source is more brutal but it's Disney). Honestly Frollo is basically every guy that's yelled 'that bitch friendzoned me!' taken to the extreme. It examines the role of religion in empower sexist attitudes. It examines the mental state of men who thing they should own women's body and if not literally destroy them. This song. This. Song. Is. Amazing.

Toying with upgrading my old faithful Nokia C5 to a smartphone. Apparently it's teh thing these days.

It seems you need an invitation from a current owner to get one.

What's stopping me? Besides the invitation thing, I still have problems with a phone I have to recharge every goddamn day. Plus wouldn't it be funny if this was China's way of hacking everyone's accounts?
Then again, they manufacture just about everyone else's phone components, so they hardly need to go about it this way. They probably know all our secrets already ...

My Nokia C3 will last a week minimum, in low signal and browsing internet on it. My other half's phone needs charging every night no matter how much it is used. Do I want to have to take a charger with me everywhere? God no.

Because phone chargers are so horrendously huge and...oh wait, they're basically a usb cable. >.>
Don't get me wrong. I think batteries need a lot of improvement to make the smartphone a much better device. It's annoying to have to worry about battery life on that sort of a timescale.
But. It's nowhere near as bad as some people (mostly those without smartphones) portray. Mine can do two days without charging, for example, as I'm not a huge user. But all I do is plug it in to charge every night and I don't have to worry about running out.
If my work didn't have a strict as hell computer security and personal item ban to boot, I could just plug it in at work, too, if I forgot to charge it or something.
Unless you work (regularly) for more than two days without any chance to go home, access a computer, or a standard power point...what's the big deal? It seems more inconvenient than it is, basically.
