I had a scroll, Twelve, that let me summon resources, including water. I picked the right time to use it.

Vengy, we were getting ready to have lover comms.

Also thanks for the game tapper, though i was very confused and didnt understand a lot :p

Tapper just quit telling me that you were robbing me since you weren't getting any dinari.

Even reading SH, I can't figure out who raided me as they were leaving ND on the hadj to the Palace. Those two raids hurt.

Who called the hadj from ND to the NE there at the end?

I never figured Ruse as the Qadi. Wow. But happy to see that I got quite a few others right - especially my hunch that Tellan was NOT Nepeth as was generally accepted. I got pretty much all the alliance people on the correct side. The one other mistake I made was continually thinking that Spite was part of the Cult of Vultures, when in fact they were nothing but a slimy thief :p Of course, that makes perfect sense now, that's why Spite was so against me (Atrahal), because I was continually attacking Karosis.

I think I played my role fairly well. I was a Healer/Fighter, so my strength lay in self-defence. While I wouldn't necessarily win every fight, I would be incredibly hard, if not impossible, to actually kill. As I started on the Khalif's Palace tile, I felt it was my duty to make the alliances for my faction, which I did - putting up both the Nepeth and Night Prophet proposals.

Being lynched was my big worry. Not a Worship producer, and unlike most of my HoA brethren, not much in the way of money either. I started off with 5000 dinari, and not once did I ever have more than that. Most days I sold about 2-3000 dinari worth of goods on the bazaar, and then immediately spent that money on other things to end each day with zero dinari.

My other big strength was that I could build my own, specifically HoA-aspected, weapons. My plan was to equip myself, which I did (managed to make and equip the whole armour and weapons set, aside from the Mount), and afterwards make armour and weapons to sell on the Bazaar, with the knowledge that the people most likely to go for them would be other HoA players. I imagine that this was supposed to be my route into big money, selling items, but I had only just started on that when the game was called.

On reflection, I think that I probably should have used my 13 goods to help build a couple of other HoA-related buildings. For instance, I didn't have a building which could produce caravan retainers, so I could never move anywhere. But instead I used those goods to help me build my armour and weapons quicker.

I'm not sure what else I could have done differently - I was pretty passive behind the scenes, but I do think my role was a slow builder-upper, compensated for it by the fact that he was hard to kill from the beginning. In about 20 more days I would have been ready to annihilate everyone in my path - as long as I didn't get lynched ;)

I probably would have done more if I had more time.

And you can all blow me with your speed lynches while I was at work!

There was a reason Ruse felt comfortable yacking up a god-damned storm.

Well with what I stole from you I thought for sure that you were Nepath or HoA. I never thought that you were CoV. So I guess I'm glad I didn't kill you from thirst.

I should have probably figured it out when you did that find thing and anounced my character role on thread and you didn't rat me out to everyone on thread. But then there was no way that I could have known it was you who did the find.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

By the way, once we got lover comms, I would have realized Venge could use my Djinn that disabled heals and bulletproofs to good effect.

I think I cried a bit after that one.

@ Tapper:

When you have the time, do you think we could get your commentary and analysis of how you think the game went and how people played, what you would have liked to have seen people or certain roles do, etc.? The actions spoiler thread at the moment tells half the story - what people did, but I'd like to know what you thought of these actions.

Do you think people were in general playing too conservatively? It's tough in a game like this - it's not just any Mafia game, this is one you really really want to stay in no matter what, so you find that you might not do certain things which might expose you more. Having said that, it didn't exactly stop me from posting my heart out ;)

Re the Sacrosanct, I think, like Gnaw suggested, that it shouldn't necessarily be removed or made more expensive, but rather countered with something.

Also, anyone know how I transfer my PMs into the comments thread?

And what did happen to Bent and Brujah anyway?

I need to think of a warcry for Houses of Agreement - it just doesn't have the same ring to it as ASHIKAGAAAAA!!!!!

Perhaps something like: DINARIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!! ;)

@Khel - Bday celebration ended badly. Bday was Nov 12, same day game started. It was Thursday or Friday when I made it back home.

Sorry to leave you all alone, Azath as the only NP. It would have been fun had I been able to play. At least you got to take over my character. I had enough notes pregame to choke a horse. My strategy at first was going to be investing in building up resources and locating the identity of the other NPs, through those black shavings.

From there we move on to conquer the world.

Tapper already knows what happened, but for you guys, my Bday was Nov 12(even mentioned it in sign up thread) the day game started, and I was so looking forward to getting home that night and starting the game, and let's just say I never made it home that night....or for quite a few nights. And it wasn't a pleasurable experience.

Tapper, did you want any general game design comments? If so, where (privately or publicly)?

Laffer, Djinn of Trickled Down Tears

Special #1: Target a player with Laffer, Djinn of Trickled Down Tears, player must either give up collection of tax for an amount of phases equal to combat strength of summoner, or be guarded until the next Defterdar election.
Special #2: For every use of Laffer, create a Perpetuation Point.
Special #3: Target yourself, each Perpetuation Point may be multiplied by 500 to create Dinari at dawn.

Honestly Tapper, I felt my role was very weak in a location dependent game because unless I get my scouting/theiving off every day on a valid target, it is night impossible to keep up with those players that have a large infrastructure. And, looking at some of the stuff Vengy is claiming, I have doubts I could have kept up with him, at least, at all.

Sorry, I've just seen in the Quest Triggers thread that one of the quests was triggered by one player earning more than 35,000 dinari. Despite being painful to me, it's not unbelievable.

What is unbelievable is that it was Spite who did it?!?! Spite, a Guild of Beggars player? How!?
