With the thread of the Khanates looming on the horizon, and having refused my protection, the Nepeth started making preparations of their own. They fortified their palaces, throwing up a low palissade and plenty of earthworks, while also establishing a network of tunnels to allow the supply to their troops.
Border Fortress is established at the Nepeth Barracks.
Until the end of the game, when entering this tile, a player is attacked by a 1 CS army consisting of 1 Retainer. If the player wins the battle, no slaves are gained. If the battle is a tie or a loss for the player, the player can't move into the tile.
Black Market is established at the Nepeth Barracks.
Establish an independendent market, selling to local settlers on this tile. Until the end of the game, everyone on this tile can, once per day, sell any 2 goods from their storage for a total sum of 500 dinari. The sold goods are removed from the game.

I think this person feels a little safer now that the Hadj is in effect on the adjacent tiles. He couldn't target whoever in the Northern Desert but they could've him. I am unsure who it might be though.
HI how is it going?
Are you saying that it was you who moved to the Nepeth Baracks?
He is. And he's not.

So wait if Karo is still on the mirror and sacro'd it does that mean fener is still on the northern desert and vulnerable to a lynch? Or is it like P-S said before and they get the benefits of both tiles so Fener would get the mirror sacro too?
You don't get the benefits of both.
Instead, you target people and are targeted by people as if you were on both tiles (or all tiles travelled to/from) that phase.

I'm just going to straight up admit I don't understand locations and moves at all...
Next ToD game P-S I think moves should happen in-between phases so we don't have to worry about effects and timings of inter-tile things

Perhaps that's an idea - although some players are going to curse you: they have been jumping tiles and collecting benefits from multiple tiles for most of the game so far.
And this is why I don't understand the tiles!!!
Careless wording on my part. The Northern Desert is an ongoing effect: it checks are you there? Then immune to actions from outside. The check says 'no' as soon as you leave it.
Effects that say 'once per phase, collect X' have a check that checks if the ability has been used yet.
I realise that I shot way past the mark with the tiles and travel (and a couple of other things) - I guess ToD 1.0 is more like a beta than a 1.0

I kinda sorta get it? So like if you are on the Horse Plains you can do the animal conversions whenever and then if mid-Day you move to Ishktar Oasis you immediately gain 500 dinari regardless of when precisely you move. But if you move to the Nepeth Empire instead since it is not Dawn you get nothing - you have to be there at Dawn (any part of Dawn?) to get that bonus. Then you can run back to the Horse Plains and do more horsey conversions. But since you've been to multiple tiles on those days your actions and everyone else's actions against you will work as if you are on either of those tiles even though your moves were distinct.
But then how does that work with the northern desert? Let's say I were on the desert and moved to the Nepeth Barracks during the day. While I was on the barracks Player X targeted me but then I moved back to the desert. Then Player Y targeted me. Then you get back online to resolve. Does X's succeed and Y fail thereby making the timing matter (even though this is all within a single Day)?
