I wonder if Karosis is standing gaping open-mouthed at that result :sofa:

Ok, I'm calling for a culture hunt. Nobody likes thieves, and I for one have no interest in ever becoming partners with them. We have Karosis obviously, but I think it's quite apparent Ruse is Guild of Beggars too.

There is also the non-culture hunt option of going for Telas, Fener or Spite in order to continue focusing them on doing nothing but obtaining worship, but I feel these are less likely to resolve into lynches.

I'm on my phone right now but I will dig out the relevant quotes when I get on to a computer. But basically, always trying to divert attention away from voting on Karosis.

The square of Camels is a busy place at all times of the day, and one of the major locations where the rich and famous want to live, especially when they made their fortune in trade. A renovation of the House of the Palm Garden unearthed an ancient well, and when the construction workers descended, they found a small altar dedicated to an unknown god. The Monastery of Silence, which lies closest to the Square, was surprisingly vocal in their conviction that the altar was dedicated to the One God, and claimed the site and everything to be found on or near it.

The Square of Camels now has a place of worship.

I slam the door in his face.... and you notice there are six very burly men with very low foreheads and very thick and very short necks entering through the back door, politely requesting you hand over the money owed... in one syllable words, and with a menacing expression. The tax collector collects. Always.

With the tribes marching through the desert and the exodus and return of the monks, panic spread through the sands. In times of crisis, the enterprising mind finds ways to make lots of money out of things discarded by others. Black markets flourished, and nowhere more so than in the Northern Desert during the first month after the storm season.

Is there anything that has not been created in the Northern Desert? :sofa:

Also, the rest of you should be absolutely broke like me, and therefore have no money to give to the Tax Collector. But once (if ever) I do have any dinari, I hope the fucker's dead - that has to be the most annoying ability in the entire game :D

Is it just me or does the black market not even sound remotely useful? I guess someone up there isn't making any money selling stuff on the bazaar but 500 dinari a cycle for 2 goods can't be all that helpful.

Dusk:

The first to fall in the conflict was Maymun, Mastermind of the Golden Moon Gang and alledgedly, the Ring Finger of the Guild of Beggars. He had arrived in Ishktar Oasis to set up an elaborate sting intended to rob the Tax Collector of just about everything. In order to do so, Maymun hid himself amidst the diseased in the city, at great risk to his own health. Even he could not anticipate the arrival of a group of mysterious bowmen who murdered the leprose and thereby sunk his plans. With nowhere to hide, Maymun was soon apprehended and strung up by the Nepeth City Guard.

It is rumoured that the Guild of Beggars appointed a new Ring Finger, whose identity is as of yet unknown.

Tennes is dead. He was Maymun of the Guild of Beggars (and Obdigore).

Faction 3: The Khanates

Black Stallion Clan
Kadukai, Khan of Khans
Chenshi, Raider (wife to Kadukai)
Chagatai, Warrior (son of Kadukai)
Kublai, Warrior (son of Kadukai)
Khesmak, Tar-Khan
Nemujin, Raid-Leader
Sarkhan, Leader of the Hunt
Shenoshka, Outrider of the Khan + day 1, the Tale of the Nepeth Drought

Quote

Black Stallion Clan: once per day/night cycle, use one of your Retainers. A player of your choice must use a Retainer with a Tier equal to your Retainer's Combat Strength.

The structure of the GoB has changed (used to be Thieves/Pickpockets/Swindlers) but from the scenes sounds like Maymun was Golden Moon Gang

Quote

Golden Moon Gang: Co-operation. every time you target the same player with a night action as another Golden Moon Gang player, you become lovers for the duration of the following day/night cycle.

I'm up for a culture hunt though I'm anxious to see what strange logic Atrahal has for connecting me to Tennes/Karosis before I dive into anything.

The culture hunt is a possibility. Atrahal suggested that Ruse was thief as well, but he needs to get on a computer to quote the posts he made the connection from, so I'm waiting to consider the Ruse route until he does that. Karosis on the other hand, was one of the no-lynchers, so we know that he has the resources to keep us from lynching him, so while lynching him to deplete his resources is a possible idea, more CF's mean more connections, and therefore, more lynches. I'm going to wait to make my more solid decision until I see the posts that (are said to) implicate Ruse as a GoB
