Jumping Thrawn forwards to a time when the Solo kids are teens and perhaps the Skywalker/Jade kid is about to be born is the best possible movie set-up I can imagine.

I hope the Noghri rock. No lisping Gungans or thbbpptthhing Ewoks, please.

A good idea...but the issue with that is Thrawn's goals really are just more suited to 5-years post-JEDI, a Galaxy in turmoil...40+ years later he's simply not going to be able to achieve the things he does...so he'd be Thrawn in name only really if he were jumped forward. I'm cool with that as I find him an impressive villain...but his THRAWN TRILOGY-motivations aren't suited to 40+ years Post-Empire...he'd be working with the Imperial Remnant at that point and unless they'd been keeping quite a low profile, then they'd likely have already been thrown down by the Republic (or whatever Arndt and JJ decide is what followed JEDI as political system).

I see what you are saying, but his machinations in the trilogy of books depend heavily on being SOON after JEDI.

To be honest, all I want is more Ewoks, not less.

Leia should probably avoid getting back into the gold bikini at this point. Just saying.

It would be hilarious though if they referenced it - like Leia is looking through her closet for something to wear, and that outfit just happens to be on a hanger in there.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

There is a recent rumour that John Noble will be playing the villain in the new films....oh gods...let this be true. That man can ACT!

Lucas got the message with the gold bikini fetish from RotJ. Attack of the Clones is just one long dress-up session for Natalie Portman, and I for one bow down to Senator Amidala's sexy ass.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Nobody's arguing that Lucas doesn't have a knack for geek perv cosplay ideas, and getting actresses to wear the costumes in his films. But, and admittedly I haven't watched it, wasn't that Abrams' whole concept behind ALIAS too? Let's give him a shot.

Yep, guaranteed the female lead in Ep VII will wear at least 2 wigs, and dash down at least 3 corridors.

Rumour has it that the main protagonist will be female.

Re: ALIAS...yes Sydney sometimes wore sexy outfits, but only when the case required it for disguise...otherwise she would always be wearing black pants and long sleeved black shirts...moveable combat wear with spots for drop holsters.

And none of JJ's other shows have had women on display in such ways. So I don't think we should out=-of-the-gate expect it...not when Lucas isn't that involved anymore and Lucasfilm is now run by a woman.

Don't you dare try to define what is and isn't sexy to me, young man! Maybe I like holsters here there and everywhere, you don't know.

According to a few news sources now, Harrison Ford returning as Han Solo in EpVII is apparently an official signed deal.

If this proves to be true I'm going to be over the moon.

Not really Harrison's fault though is it? That was down mostly to script. He still acted like Indy to me. The story just sucked monkey sacks.
