What's up with the movie poster?

I think that's people trying too hard to see a pattern that's not intended.

I don't know.. there are worse ways to do it but it seems a bit unlikely since they put it in the trailer.

Do all the original heroes have to be killed? I think I'd prefer an off screen 'natural' death - a moving scene where it's revealed that Leia has died. I don't really want to see all the original cast shot or blown up.

As long as they dont kill off Chewie. I dont think i could handle that.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

^^This.

there are a bunch of things that also don't line up with Vader's mask in that as well as things that look to line up.

It's nonsense from a professional design POV.

I agree. I mean, from the article: "The true mastery is that once you see it, it becomes glaringly obvious." No it really doesn't.

Anyway... the trailer was alright. Didn't enthuse me vastly. Feels a bit assembly line. I hope I'm proven wrong.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

The poster thing doesn't look intended, as they've drawn lines where there aren't any and crossed or ignored obvious lines like the lightsaber because they don't fit the face.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

So that last Rey and Luke scene is clearly out of context, right?

Yes, from what I've heard he's confronting Kylo with his line...if I had to guess The Rey shot is after that with her confronting Kylo.

BK, not sure if you heard but I thought you'd like to know....they did a fan poll at SDCC to make a special Black Series figure of fan choice...and the overwhelming choice was Jaina Solo.

https://www.gamestop...o-figure/153487

Comes out December. Purple bladed lightsaber and New Republic-era black Rogue Squadron attire!

I'm for SURE getting it (she was my fave EU character). Just letting you know in case you want to grab one when they drop too.

She was awesome. That one still hurts going foward with NU.

I suddenly want to reread NJO onward.

Jaina was arguably the FINEST thing to come out of the old EU. She was (for the most part, and depending on who was writing her....some of the authors did her raw....like making her a marriage foil late in the latter series) a well rounded, and PERFECT Skywalker continuation character to pass the series on to after Luke passed (if he ever would have in the old EU, which I doubt).

I would say that, as siblings, Jaina and Jacen were great — aside from, as you mentioned, that later stuff involving Jaina, and also the later stuff involving Jacen.

(Haven't read NJO in 8+ years though).

New spinoff (non-Skywalker) SW trilogy by Rian Johnson in the works
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Ha! I looked to see if someone else had posted it, and they hadn't, so I did. Guessing you did the same? ;)

It's cool news! I'm all for blowing open the SW movie universe further!

I like to think of it as the "Space Universe" franchise.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Tickets booked for the 14th.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Wow. Looking more and more like a rey/kylo reversal.

Was kylo/solo a snape/Dumbledore moment?

Only 6 days to go...

I don't know if we will get a reversal, but I REALLY think that Kylo is going to get redeemed...if not in this movie, then in the next.
