That is, unless you folks think it would be a bad move to close myself off from 3I,
I was thinking to avoid the backdoor into my base, but it's also an avenue of attack to my nearest neighbour....not that I'm going to do that ever....nope.

It's all in whether you want safety or more options. I can turn it whichever way you want

Oh, and please rotate mine so the half-wormhole is towards my home planet (in case I research Wormhole Generator next turn? Like that's going to happen...). Thanks!

Well chances are STD aint gonna take that last tile and WH generators are still a ways off, so its unlikely anybody will get there regardless, but I'm going to take the safe track. Point them wormholes to the East!

I would leave it CF, simply because STD is unlikely to get that tile (has to go all the way around again as he has already gone this round) and if it comes around to you again you can place one there that goes to the other Ancient system, which would be potentially useful.

oki, for next move we deffo need a dreadnought. Those Ancients gotta go if we are to expand anywhere good.
tomorrow is my hell day (3 classes and 2 soccer games interspersed/overlapping-due-to-re-schedulings), so i'll be uber-sporadic.
the Director has taken into consideration the expectations of the Militant Populists. We agreed to let the people roam free in space if it pleases them. After all, a happy worker is a productive worker.
With the crisis of faith in the Director averted, the Directorate's leadership now intends to focus the growing economic potential on military buildup. The Galaxy will be ours, for the time of the Ancients has passed

The directorate tea party shall acquiesce to the Prime Director's wishes. We didn't rig the recent elections in our favour....we solemnly swear...
The liberobotics were not pleased with our decision to go against the original plan of settling a science team on the new grey planet and likely would not have supported our cause in the future anyway.

Shall we wait for next round to expand our military might, considering that the "ancient screen" surrounding Home Sector means the enemy is at least a round from our doorstep? We now have 6 economic production, and nothing to do but research and build ships next round.
Drek made a good point about being able to build 2 ships next round rather than 1 this round and 1 next. If we wait, for the same amount of actions we could build 2 ships and make an upgrade with the shields we discovered in the grey planet sector, and we can still attack an ancient sector. Greater efficiency = greater win.

I think Tapper and Morgy are threatening each other, but it's hard to tell amongst all the moss talk
Your turn Morgy! One last explore?

Ah yes.
We chose to spread our seed in every furrow left untouched. Alas, the quality of our amorous conquests cannot be decided until we return from work. Even moss needs insurance.

it should also cost less upkeep, I believe. shall we pass then?
The Director is pleased by the acquiescence of the Military Populists. The political alliance is bringing great boons....

Great and wonderful prime director, It is my humble opinion that we should wait, consolidate our gains this round, and begin building our armada in the new year. The Ancient nuisance is also our firmest defense; we surely do not need to build our military at the expense of all else.
Long Live the Directorate!
Long Direct the Prime Director!

All in all a good conservative choice. No need to waste all that orange just to get a ship we most likely won't even need until 2 rounds from now. Bank a few orange for a hectic round down the road.
