Tapper counted wrong in his upkeep. With STD's ambassador he's got +10 in science. So 4 is the correct count in his case.

And you people worry about me. Hah!

The Planta will build two Shrubberies for 16 materials, leaving us at:

M - 0/+8
S - 8/ +6
P - 4/ +12

Upkeep -7

Have fun with that IH!

(pssst, wait for him to fly to your homeworld then run past to his or something)

Upkeep -7 or -10? the board says -10...

Also those are the most terifying shruberys i've ever seen, and you wanted me to fight those d'rek! even more scary is if they got beat he could just build two more...

I'm going to do the final explore and claim the tile since noone seems to be doing it in E3.

Upkeep -3

Yes, ahem, -10. I'm assuming you're settling? It's a 1 Production + discovery tile

I'll take the discovery tile, I won't settle the planet yet. -3 upkeep is with the explore and claim.

I'm also seriously regretting my orientation of 2B, well useful learning experience I guess.

You can't take the tile without settling the system, but you can always bankrupt it later.

I think he meant put the disc down and take the disco tile, but dont put a cube on the planet (you can always wait until just before upkeep to do that, anyways)

Your cruisers actually have more HP than them and are cheaper, though. But yes, very scary. This is why Planta is a weed you can't let grow at the start (Tapper should really have pushed for a connection on the other side and put the pressure on).

Ah. It's a tech tile. It gives you the cheapest available technology for free if you chose to use it

I like this combat simulator thingie someone (STD?) linked earlier. It is a fun diversion while we wait another 3 days for Ment. Apparently IH's super-cruiser has a 70%ish chance to win against Morgy's 2 dreadnaughts. 2 or 3 of IH's cruisers are nigh-unstoppable:

1x IH Cruiser vs 2x Morgy Dread:
DEF - W: 285 L: 715 R: 0 --- DDread+DDread
ATT - W: 715 L: 285 R: 0 --- ACruiser

2x IH Cruiser vs 2x Morgy Dread:
DEF - W: 7 L: 993 R: 0 --- DDread+DDread
ATT - W: 993 L: 7 R: 0 --- ACruiser+ACruiser

3x IH Cruiser vs 2x Morgy Dread:
DEF - W: 0 L: 1000 R: 0 --- DDread+DDread
ATT - W: 1000 L: 0 R: 0 --- ACruiser+ACruiser+ACruiser

1x IH Cruiser vs GCDS:
DEF - W: 934 L: 66 R: 0 --- Galactic Center
ATT - W: 66 L: 934 R: 0 --- ACruiser

2x IH Cruiser vs GCDS:
DEF - W: 292 L: 708 R: 0 --- Galactic Center
ATT - W: 708 L: 292 R: 0 --- ACruiser+ACruiser

3x IH Cruiser vs GCDS:
DEF - W: 9 L: 991 R: 0 --- Galactic Center
ATT - W: 991 L: 9 R: 0 --- ACruiser+ACruiser+ACruiser

well, you'd have to include a plasma cannon and another computer, but yes. Do you have the link handy?

I'll take the tile as VP then, I don't think gauss shields are worth much at this stage.

Here's the link:

http://codesavior.co...e/simulator.php

I don't know what numbers you are putting in D'rek but it never comes out that well for me! My cruisers just about match 1 of Morgoth's upgraded dreads in a 1v1 (45:55 odds in Morgys favour). 1 of my cruisers is absoloutely crushed by 2 unupgraded dreads.

http://codesavior.co...e/simulator.php You have to mess with the "equipment" page to get planta/orion ships and the conformal drive.

So, anyone seen any activity from Ment? He didn't check in last circle-around-the-actions at all as far as I recall. Should we just move his ships into the ancient hex like he/CF were planning for him?

Ment/CF haven't sent me any provisionals so I can't help provide any insite outside what they have already posted on thread.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

If you decide on another player I could step in but I would rather just be a spectator this game. Too many irons in the fire right now.

We could always just collapse his civilization - remove red tiles/cubes/ships, either leave the hexes empty or remove them from the board and take back any ambassadors.

If you are just going to do that, then I can step in. I figure a bad starting position would be a good way to fumble along as any until I figure out the strategy.
