oh, nice to see somebody here after all this time, heh, sorry, I fell asleep for some time it seems...amazing such an abandoned and forlorn place coming back to life...heh.
Still is the air
As silence descends
Upon the gray stone streets
Escape is the way
To the eastern gate
That we shall not walk of fear.
something to feed on, cuddly pups
The circle of life is the circle of death.
Still is the air
As silence descends
Upon the gray stone streets
Escape is the way
To the eastern gate
That we shall not walk of fear.
something to feed on, cuddly pups
The circle of life is the circle of death.

More babblings. poorly written, no rhyme scheme etc but needed to type.
Crouching in my own dank hole,
I watch you rock in yours,
Huddling tight against the cold of the night,
Fighting the shivers,
With all of your soul.
The tear down my cheek mirrors yours,
A perfectly symmetrical dance,
A gliding tribute of sorrow,
Silent and deadly,
Purging the septic wounds below.
I wince as you do,
This salty remedy stings so much,
And i feel my own scream building within,
As yours rips through the night's air,
Shaking the earth to its very roots.
Rocking myself in this dark hole,
There is nothing i can do for you,
But hold on tight to this faith,
That everything will be ok,
And that you will survive.
You don't know i crouch here,
Night after night,
Day after day,
Watching and Hoping,
That you will be okay.
You must,
You will,
For otherwise why are we here?
If the good won't be triumphant,
If the shadows are going to win,
Then what is the point of the battle?
No, you will survive,
You always do,
You are stronger than you realise,
And on this i pin my hopes,
And so my faith remains true.

Slit my throat.. and watch me bleed. watch me die and smile for me.

Random poetry of mine that i've written out into an online journal..none of them really have titles and they're all crap but whatever. Sorry if theres a lot or whatever, heh..Once again i just have nothing to do and i'm giving ppl something to read if they ever get as bored as i am at the moment.
------------------
The corner doth call
To take me away
For here in these dreams
I wish not to stay
heart running over with grinding thoughts
My mind is decaying
Hanging on hooks.
Bloody and broken
returning blank looks.
Misunderstandings drown out by shots
A bottle, a glass,
A knife and a nail.
Scraping and cutting,
This life is so stale.
The deeper it cuts, the more I need
Take me away,
From the sun,
From the day.
It stands only to mock me
Every chance,
Every way.
If only now, I could kill this seed
-----------------------------------------------
I am the one you know to fear
And all along I knew.
Face behind the mirror
Shadows begin to brew
Blinding your eyes,
These holy hands upon your face.
Once a dieing mind,
Your heart begins to race.
Watch and need,
Think and bleed.
See and know,
Scream and show.
Dark whispers echoing,
From tiled high walls.
The shock, the horror,
Soon all breathe stalls.
Realization of a promise broke.
A hidden reflection upon the floor.
Your words were forever,
Yet now I see you close my door.
Watch and need,
Think and bleed.
See and know,
Scream and show.
Mirror, Mirror, and scattered shards.
Hidden reflection upon the floor
Seven years bad luck to you ..
Because now you've close my door.
-----------------------------------
Don't tell me you love me,
Don't tell me you understand,
Don't tell me you see no blood on my hands.
Don't tell me you need me
Don't tell me you care
Don't tell me your heart is caught in my snare.
Don't tell me you'll be there
Don't tell me to smile
Because in the end you'll forget i'm worthwhile.
---------------------------
Crack the glass around my heart,
I knew you would right from the start.
Shoot me through and cut me deep,
The gun in my hands can't hear you weep.
Pray harder...
Think longer...
Scream louder...
BEG....
-------------------
Lets play pretend....
Porceline dolls, and masks of wood,
they tell me it isnt the end.
Lets play pretend....
lets be happy with smiles galore
for an angel does heaven send.
Let's play pretend....
stitches and time..stitches and time..
it's all my heart needs to mend.
--------------------------------------
You will never know the peace I would find in running..hiding.
Because you allow it not.
This iron collar around my neck,
too strong to break
too long worn to know anything but.
Instead i bear it with a smile,
for pain is life...
and life is nothing...
So standing tall, I shall face the oncomming storm.
These eyes white as snow,
And mind enlightened to what even you still can not see.
---------------------------
So many lives
One heart
One mind
So many days lived through
Pulling me down..
pulling me down....
Yet still I stand,
Rusty eyes watching,
The sun,
The sky,
The darkness looming not far ahead.
Won't you guide this hand to the trigger?
Who's to see the sun set today...
Me?
...Or you?
---------------------------
When the game becomes reality,
The walls shall breaketh asunder.
The assault, crashing,
Like waves upon the shore.
Grinding, eroding; slowly,
Ticking away our confinement,
Within mortalities halls.
-----------------------
Let the violence begin, like a dance and a day
Sever the limb,
Get down and decay.
This heart, it can not stay,
Can not stay......

@ Chaos - cheers, I liked yours too, nice and evocative, particularly the one about killing stars, great imagery. I used to write a lot when I was younger, but it was all depressing angst driven stuff and I didn't keep it. Haven't written anything new for ages but am feeling a little inspired so may well give it a go. In the meantime here's a couple of soppy ones, tnhe inspiration should be obvious.
Wife
There is a lady I adore
who's life I share in sweet rapport.
Her hair is golden soft and flowing,
eyes beguiling, blue and knowing,
shining bright with inner fire,
engulf me with burning desire.
My heart she holds within her hand,
Her smile she knows I can't withstand.
My dreams she fills with love so strong,
to feel her in my arms I long.
To touch and hold her I demand,
her mouth and lips the promised land.
the nectar taste of every kiss
searing my soul with raptured bliss
This lady that I call my wife
I love her more than my own life
A Daughter’s Kiss
A daughter’s kiss, the greatest gift.
Her ready smile my heart uplifts.
A perfect love none can destroy
Her total trust the greatest joy.
Her innocent beautiful face,
her gentle touch and warm embrace.
The love she shares, that sweetest kiss
Will give a man his greatest bliss

Haven't put anything here in a long time so here's something new.
Whose is the voice that cries to you
when no one else can hear
and pours its scorn on all your dreams
replacing them with fear.
Whose is the grip that pulls you back
with cold and clammy claws,
whose weight a millstone round your neck
that always gives you pause.
Whose are the doubts that panic you
and send your heart a flutter
to make your tongue a leaden weight
that now can only stutter.
Whose are the eyes that burn your back
seeking out an error,
critical and ever prying,
filling you with terror.
Whose are the hands that castigate,
and beat upon your breast
and pinch and pry and punish you
and never give you rest.
Whose is the heart that judges you
and each and every act
with a moral certainty
that you so clearly lack..
Who is this enemy of yours
that you can never see,
chains you in doubt and apathy
and never lets you free
Hope someone likes it

Cheers Bav
I definately imagine a marching band in the background but I felt it went off the boil a bit.

Here is a short poem written down on the bus home from school, thinking of the next VtM chronicle. Its not very good but i couldnt let it go.....
Ancinet Gods
------------------
The ancients are the rulers
The gods of darkness
Darkness dwell in their eyes
Dark Masters..
Rulers of Puppets..
Pawns..
Hidden..
The Lords of the Night
Hunters of dark
Our rulers the Ancient Gods.

Two new ones in a slightly different vein - a bit more subtle.
Hermit Crab
I scuttle across the ocean’s bed
accreting detritus
a welter of experience
in calciferous waves
sometimes
drawn by currents I can barely sense
I seek the shelter
of a kindred soul
and make of it my home
Brief Encounter
Each day
my feline lodger visits
most times a brief encounter
a fleeting touch
between two mirrored pools of
welcome solitude
whose torpid depths are
rippled by this single comfort

Well I know something just went over my head. I think I will leave this thread alone, tell it to go and sit in the corner and think about what it has done. Bad thread!

@ orf - wow.. you are good. and you can write depressive and happy poetry! *L* now there is something i would love to be able to do
Just before i came online had the sudden urge to write something due to.. well something *L*
=========================
Haunting melodies ressurect ghostly memories,
Translucent images blurred behind a veil of ice.
A heated rememberance of the deceased,
Melts the cold veil from behind these windows.
Bladed green chutes push through frozen earth,
As the melted ice of spring begins to flow,
Birds chirp and playing children scream,
And whispering spirits regrow.
------------------------
"… Lost in a shadowy portal between two lights;
A place where bladed pain runs throughout all delights.
My soul is lost in the blissful, melancholy moment,
Wanting no fulfilment - just an everlasting instant …" - Mort

Yet another :
The liquid of my life drips slowly now
meandering it’s lazy languid path
across skin as white as alabaster
to reach the welling gelid pool
that grows around me inexorably
a tide that bears my ebbing life away
Far quicker was the earlier flood
that burst from fleshy bonds
a bright and crimson hue
that frothed and bubbled its uncharted way
before the passing of my time
reduced it to a trickle
And so my eyes are fixed
and frozen for eternity
the pulsing beat that once had echoed
slips away a silent gasp
as the last hesitant drop of life
pauses on its way and congeals
By the way is anyone actually reading these?
Never mind I'm enjoying myself - very cathartic.
