This. I loved the games but my overriding thought is 'We didn't fuck it up!'

Beth Tweddle's bronze medal
Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton hugging after her retirement silver
All the crying -- every single time it made me leak in sympathy
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Enjoyed very much, nice to see my home country as host exceed expectations, also nice to see (one of) my ancestral homelands, RSA, massively improve on the single silver in Berlin.

On a less savoury note, first medal stripping: http://www.bbc.co.uk...ympics/19242736

Bradley Wiggins gold medal. The velodrome world records getting smashed!

'The Saturday Night!' Greg Rutherford, Jess Ennis and Mo Farah, one of the best nights of sport I've witnessed!

Rowing golds and heart break!

Crazy youngsters owning up the swimming and of course Phelps, the legend!

Crazy ninjas in the gymnastics!

The Bolt and Blake battle!

Mo Farah... again!

And probably the best...

Watching crazy random sports with your mates that you haven't watched before and having a cracking time!

Aye, totally loved it!

Olympic athlete ruined by his own penis in wild scenes in Paris
It’s happened again. A French pole vaulter at the Paris Olympics has joined the infamous list of athletes to knock the bar off with their manhood.

Quote

Frenchman Teddy Riner's post-match celebration at the Paris Olympics was cut short by a stiff kick to the groin delivered by his opponent Guram Tushishvili of Georgia. The Georgian then pushed Riner's head to the mat. The move seemingly took Riner by surprise, from the look of his face in photos, and Tushishvili received a red card for being a sore loser

Judo Olympian Kicks Opponent in Groin After Losing (thedailybeast.com)

"In real fight, I bite your face off... then the head of your penis!" (not an actual quote I'd assume)

Is that guy in the crowd with his arms up in the air cheering for the groin kick? lol

We've got old school pankration back in the Olympics finally! No strikes barred! ... they just need to take off all their clothes for it to be properly traditional. As nature intended. (If Go* had wanted us to wear clothes, wouldn't he have made them grow out of our bodies? Forever unshorn body hair only! ... even if that does give your opponents something like a gi to grab ahold of to throw or submit you (or punch you, as in traditional Canadian ice boxing... come to think of it I'm surprised there aren't more groin kicks in hockey, their balance must just not be good enough...)).

Really has been the "I'm offended" Olympics hasn't it, and mostly from the "hurr durr everyone is offended too easily and facts don't care about your feelings" crowd too!

Once again genetic advantages come into play! Those with tiny peeps will rise (not by much though) and conquer all!

Some Olympians are now making more money on OnlyFans than anywhere else... see for example:

Olympic rower Robbie Manson opens up about OnlyFans side hustle (thepinknews.com)

Some Olympians Are Turning To OnlyFans To Earn Some Extra Money, Including One Who Says It 'Saved My Life' (uproxx.com)

Wonder how many male pole vaulters will be chopping their dicks off to gain an unfair advantage?... would it be against the rules for them to bind their penises and balls to their buttcracks? For that matter, since removing non-muscle mass and becoming more aerodynamic are almost certainly advantages, why don't they cut off their ear lobes, noses, etc.?...
