I admit to being thoroughly bemused with the DST and K's going this early.

I shall not fall to your peer pressure!

(No Colts yet on my team also. IT BURNNNNNNNNNNS.)
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

In my opinion you want the best starting team and then average subs, or you get to a position where there are a few players that fall in and around the same category.

We'll see how it pans out.

I guess it might be a case of wanting the top-shelf target so that during the match-ups, the K or DEF scores X points more than that of any opponent you might face, guaranteeing a buffer? Comes at a sacrifice of depth on the WR/RB front, probably.

You're the far better judge than I am of whether or not micro-management based on the match-ups of those guys can compensate quite a bit - assuming you amass at the least 4 RBs/WRs each, and each player from franchises who will have several guaranteed wins/ big scores?

It's just way against common strategy. Then again, common strategy loses for most of the commons. :p

I'll draft mine in the last two rounds, though.

Shit, ive not drafted either before, then picked them up before week 1.

You never, ever know what your getting with either. PIT D was ranked 1st in fantasy preseason last year and finished 10th in points. Kickers are just as bad.

who knows though, if you have a K or D that gets tons of points, then it'll be worth it.

I had janokowski throwing up some crazy numbers last year. Figured he was worth it. Most of the backs and receivers are equal at this point in terms of stats and projections so I don't mind missing a pick.

So who is going to be around the next few hours? Obi should be making his pick fairly soon but in case he comes on after I leave I would like to leave my pick seletions with someone.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Sending them to Shanrawr would at the least make sure that she doesn't have to wait for you to choose, might want to CC Venge in case he comes on before she does - his timezone you know, but then he should be online during the same time window as you, or maybe a bit later. SB is probably otherwise occupied, HD was on until a few hours before my alarm clock went yesterday, maybe he can be of assistance, too.

Anyhow, since I'll go to bed soon and I have absolutely no clue who the lady and gents before me will pick and I have a six name shortlist, I fear that if you all wrap up business soonish, the draft will crash to a bit of a halt until I am online again, in 8 or 9 hours time, so don't feel bad about delays

12, I'll be online for next 8 hours. Stuck behind my desk, anyway. Pm me if you need, and haven't figured something out, yet.

I already see HUGE mistakes I made in my draft choices. I already see how I would of changed things, but I could still get lucky. My WRS are going to have to be on fire all season for me to stand a chance. I should of grabbed Arian or another great back, then grabbed Cam later. Although, I see some holes in almost everyone's lineup atm.

Guess that's why they play the games. We'll see. Remember Any Given Sunday, with Al Pacino? Great football movie. Not a teen, football movie for sure. Plus its SEXY when Cam Diaz shouts in faces about FOOTBALL. Perfect woman.....

Obdi is also modding and running a mafia game, so it may delay him. Last I heard, he was tired and going to sleep. He should be up and on soon, and I have 12's picks. So we should be able to pass the halfway point in the draft tonight, with the completion of the 7th round. It is actually going faster than I thought it would.

Looks like I will finally have to pick up a QB.

Not a big fan of any that is left. I knew I should have picked up Peyton Manning when I had the chance. I think Venge got the steal of the draft.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
