Agreed. You'd be surprised how many people went for Aviendha. Doesn't fit her personality at all IMO. Others have just gone through a laundry list of people who might shag in AMOL. But I'm pretty sure that Mat/Tuon will be the only shagging we get that is even close to being dealt with on-screen in any way. I think Brandon would have wanted to avoid shaggings, and this is the only one he can't avoid.

By the way, I don't expect spoilers to creep out until they start shipping to stores, which they haven't done yet. Right now I think they're just getting in a few copies at a time and sending them to reviewers, and you guys have a fairly strict embargo on spoilers eh? As for hints, have they said that is allowed? The HCFFs loved my early review last year because it was way more concretely hint-y than for example Leigh Butler's review, but I was under the impression that the Tor embargo wouldn't even allow for hints. (Which is apparently why Pat isn't getting a book this time.)

Terez, just starting another re read. Page 15 of tEotW, Rand mentions the "Shadowman" after Mat mentions Ishamael and Aginor. Is this Shadar Haran do you think?

If it is, then it's one of those instances where long-forgotten memories survive in folk tales, because Shaidar Haran is a pretty new thing, probably not seen since the last Turning of the Wheel. I think it's just a general local vernacular type thing referring to Fades.

We'll see, spoilers always seem to creep out for those that look hard enough. And strict embargo is tough for them to enforce. The embargo states:

So, nothing about hints, though that could be seen as violating the spirit of the embargo. I'll wait to the release date, and I"ll probably keep any hints to myself. But like last time, I may find some other early readers and discuss some things. Where did you hear that Pat isn't getting a copy? Honestly, even though he blatantly broke the embargo last time, I'd still expect him to get one.

Peter posted about it on Theoryland. We're guessing it's because of the spoilers because there doesn't seem to be any other good reason for it. I'm guessing Peter was also surprised to find that out.
