IT's LIVE! LIVE! LIIIIIIVVVVVEEEEEE!!!

Got an interesting new system where you get to vote for special deals every 8 hours. I voted for The Witcher 2 which I still haven't bought.

Now remember kids, as always, unless the game you want is a part of that days daily deal, do not buy it before the last day. Chances are the game will come on sale one of the next days and you'll just become sad that you didn't save those 3 dollars.

Games I am looking out for if they hit the right price

Skyrim
Witcher 2
Max Payne 3
Spec Ops the Line
The Darkness 2
Serious Sam 3
Alan Wake
Super Brother Sword and Sworcery

Crusader Kings 2
Dawn of War 2
Hard Reset
Serious Sam 3
maybe the C&C pack, b/c I missed it on the last sale

Arkham City story DLC

I picked up Portal 2 from the Daily sale today.

I haven't really got a list of anything I really want, will just keep an eye on the dailies and pick up anything that looks good.

Got Crusader Kings II today- because I love Paradox games. Only observation is that if you're at war, might be at war, or have any risk of war, you can't really bother to invest in who your court advisors are. Because they insist on leading your troops, where they die like redshirts.

Ugh, Crusader Kings II is only 10 euro. I feel I HAVE to buy it, even though I don't have the time or inclination to play it. I don't even really like strategy management type games. But I want to buy it. Damn steam sales.

Batman Arkham City is on my list.
Nearly shelled out 23 euros for New Vegas' DLC but then, I quit playing that game a long time ago, and while I'd probably revisit it, it would probably be abondoned again after 20 hours in, so I saved zee moneys.

I shall get steam when I get home and grab Crusader Kings 2 for $10. Don't know when I will have the time. But that game looks like something I would enjoy.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Already bought Trine 2 on the flash sale, Serious Sam 3 for £2 with a Raptr coupon (which Valve thereafter disabled, unfortunately) and Legend of Grimrock on the daily. Gabe have mercy.

I would buy Trine 2, but I still haven't played 1.

frankly, at this point, I think i'm mostly looking for discounted DLC to games I already own. Including Saints Row 3, which I picked up in a flash Sale yesterday.

Deals aren't too exciting today, but the Tribes Starter Pack has given me the impetus to download Tribes: Ascend and pick up the Pack if I enjoy it.

I wouldn't call it all bad. I am picking up Max Payne 3 and From Dust.

I am also hoping against hope that The Darkness 2 gets picked for a 75% off pricetag.

I'm broke...but The Witcher 2, oh, how it calls for me. Only $16 dollars right now...

Problem is, I'm not sure if my laptop can run it. I can run the first game fine, but I hear the second game is really taxing on your CPU and requires a pretty hefty graphics card. System Requirements Lab tells me that I pass the minimum specs, but I'd hate to not be able to play in 1920x1080 with at least decent textures (laptop graphics card is a ATI Radeon 5830, Mobility series); if I have to run it at a crappy resolution, I'll probably just end up purchasing the 360 version when it drops a little more in price.

Choices, choices...

That's not a bad GPU for a laptop onboard, but I still wouldn't try running TW2 on it. If you have the option of waiting for the console version, I'd recommend that.

Picked up Bioshock 1 and 2 in the Daily Deal Yesterday and picked up Orcs Must Die today. Considering getting Borderlands + all the DLC.

Was going to pick up Anno 2070, but it only came out recently and I probably won't get around to playing it any time soon so i figure I will wait and see if its cheaper in a future sale.

Ick, was afraid of that. It's a shame that there's no demo that I can download to test out how well the game runs on my laptop. 16 bucks is a damn good deal, but I don't want to waste money.

TW2 is pretty demanding but if you turn off uber-sampling in the gfx options (which is basically anouther level of AA), the performance tends to jump.
And it has very extensive graphics setting, meaning its easy to tweak the game to your heart's content. Hell, I was able to get it running at about 15 fps on my laptop with its in-built Intel graphics chip.

You know what I hate about Steam Sales? Either you're too poor to afford the games you want (like I was when I was at uni) or you have the money but you don't have the time to actually play them (like me right now). I keep buying games to "play them later". Still picked up Mirror's edge, Dead Island, Isaac etc. Not going to bother with Skyrim simply because that takes the whole "lying to myself that I have time for this" to the next level.

I was just thinking the same thing! I looked at my steam library and I have 4 of 22 games installed and most of the ones not installed I haven't played yet and I just picked up the Crysis Collection in a Flash sale :)
