Mafia 89 (Espers) - The Spectre Thread

It is no coincidence that Sekarand could so easily raise a horde of liches here. The Apostl'eyds, the most ambitious of the Jaghut's many creations, defy life and death, holding all the adventurers beneath Sekarand's Tower from passing through Hood's Gate. You who have died now wander the labyrinth as ghosts. You can see the adventurers struggle, but they cannot hear and cannot see you.
Welcome to the Spectre Thread. This thread functions similarly to the Game Thread, but is only for players who are not living. If you are alive you should not be able to see this - contact Path-Shaper, please.
1. All dead players can post here and discuss with other dead players following the same posting rules as the Game Thread.
2. You can vote here the same as you would in the Game Thread. You may only vote for living players.
3. You can continue to view the Game Thread.
4. Vote counts will only be posted in the Game Thread. Therefore, there is no list given of which players are currently dead posted.
5. Spectres cannot be Espers.
6. Some role abilities can be used while the player is a Spectre. Some even work a bit differently while the player is a Spectre. Others cannot be used while dead. Make sure you figure out how this affects you.
7. Mod-killed players are well and truly dead, and so do not have access to the Spectre Thread.
8. The Spoiler Heaven password will change every now and then. We will PM the new one to you when it changes.

Lots of big words there.
Frankly, I expect some deaths will occur and thus that basic, but accurate, chart will quickly break down.

I like big words.
Anyhow, from the wording that the main recruiter ability is given by the cult based Apostléy thingummy (which can jump, as per the OP) this isn't simply a game of whack the recruiter. Of course, getting him is still the most important thing, but it is unlikely to leave us with only 1-2 harmless recruits to mop up.
With that in mind, a few vigs seem needed to get back tempo and get rid of all Bahama-mutants, at the least in the WCS of a recruit a night.
Gambling that recruitment pace is perhaps lower than lynching pace, thus buying town the time to mop up a cult, is wishful thinking.
But many kills? No. And anyhow, a vig isn't something to be used willy-nilly.
I agree, for balance vigs seem necessary and should be used wisely. Are you thinking that there won't be a town killer?
these have been famous last words of many a mafia player.

I want to make a little sense of the DDay situation. If there are no Independants (there really is no reason for there to be one) , WCS dday is:
Day/night cycles:
1. 12 town, 3 B's
2. 10 town, 4 Bs
3. 8town, 5 Bs
4.6town, 6Bs. At this point, we would need to lynch a B each day to prevent them from winning. The only way for us to win in this situation is to NK at least 1 B per night. Therefore, there should be some kind of adventurer aligned killer or multiple vigs, if only to balance out the game. This is supported by the part in the OP that says that apostleyds transfer upon the hosts death, in which case that just makes it even more slanted to Bs. I'm not very awake right now, so this could be complete nonsense. If it is, forgive me.

One esper is allied with town, one neutral but more town friendly. Why do you think there are 3 whatevers?
Because in the Day 1 starting post, PS says that "only 12 adventurers remained." And 14-12=3? Wow... math fail. I thought there were 15 players. So then there are 2 starting Bs. So that delays DDay to day 5.
I hate this. I say this a page back, someone doesn't bother reading the thread or they'd have quoted it to save time, but instead they try and look smart by re-posting. Not reading the thread = scummy. Down you ought to go.
Vote Tellan.

Silencer?
Anyone?
I want my vote to be known down below to the riff-raff, pretty, pretty please?
EDIT: considering there is potential interplay/communication between this thread and the regular one through vote counts, and mod-coverage seems at this particular moment slightly erratic (might be time zone, might be incidental, might be something else), what about posting H&M's password here and using that one to allow us SH denizens to do a manual vote update downstairs?

Sorry, I think I scared Grief off a bit with the game, and Silencer is currently partying in NZ. I'll work on improving this.

Well, I mentioned Silencer specifically because he showed up as online for 20 minutes or so, which would have been enough to do a vote count
