So, the player that talks gibberish is the FM, and jumped into Serc, after having killed Eloth from Fener's alt? Yes? Shouldn't he still be jumping then? What stopped him?

Edit: We are cross-posting. Don't bitch about my timing.

Maybe he jumped into Emur. Although scum being able to recruit and create new scum seems over powered. Emur is more than likely telling the truth. As soon as PS gets back on I'll know more. Emur, you a lover or a fighter?

He is a ninja. Ninja die when they kill.
In this case, he's a ninja-fm, imnsho. AKA: he jumps into another alt, kills someone using the description of the alt he came from (the ninja persona in scene 1, who was then told to not be a professional killer) llives for a cycle as his new alt, then dies. The town vs scum ratio is 2 town deaths for 1 scum death, good deal for scum.

If he comes back, he can do this again, and if he manages to do so before we + SH can lynch him, he can do this trick again. You need to think outside of the box in this game. Returning to thread is seriously messing with normal assumptions and power levels and opens up a whole bag of tricks.

Fair enough.

You got any theories on who gets reanimated?

And yet it's half of your posts. I've looked. You use it to hop in and out at strategic points and then just disappear again. It's classic coasting play.

I really have to go now, but i swear i'll post some content when i get back from my appointment. If i'm alive by then, ahem.

My vote remains nonetheless. I shouldn't have to pressure you into content at this point in the game.

Catching up took me longer than I expected. I have to go for now to catch my train. I will be back later.

Order of appearance in SH.
You'll notice that I died in the scene before Fener did, and I'm back and he isn't (yet). Silanah was already dead, so trumped him and me in that regard. Best answer I have at this point.

That's the logical answer and I'd probably run with that for now. The serpent's ring seems to be in favor of Cult as of now though, so how the hell do we change it?

@ Liosan: he was stopped by being a ninja, aka, he died, as per the usual ninja role.

@ Barghast: read back. I entered the game at the start of day 3. Serc and Kaschan died somewhere on day 2 before lynch resolution.
I wasn't alive before Serc died, which is a condition of your average FM (you can only target living players). Even if he could jump into dead players, why would he, as it only hurts the cult presence on thread?

Oh, and perhaps important in this regard: most abilities are turned 'off' while in the Spectre thread, except I think abilities that target the dead or living and are mentioned to do this, specifically.

So Emur, you still have your lover's link? Like Eloth had? She was the little girl clutching the Barbarian. Kalse is a type of psychic. He is the one talking to us, not Thyrllan. Right SL. Kalse is the only one I really trust of SH right now because of his ability being used.

Dunno. Might be that cult recruits at a slower pace than once a night, but that would be BCS. The trick is going to be to watch for people who strike us as likely cult, and take them out.
If we lynch cult and get a town player back from the dead, we postpone scum victory instead of trading 1-for-1 (slowly surrendering vote majority in SH but establishing it on thread), I can't help but think that's part of the path to victory.

Ok, I'm convinced. Emur is definately Eloth and town. I wonder how often a townie returns. Let's imagine some scenarios. One recruit per night, one town returned, it stays even?

I'm back, still have an hour.

I think scum would've been on the Thyrllan train. Osseric should be looked into some more, but, alas, my ability is real useless for this.
It seems to me that he made some clumsy mistakes with his posting, and said some weird shit early on to make him look harmless. I'd vote for him to get lynched today, and thus:

Vote Osseric

Kaschan was able to give us scum count before killed. If Kalse is able to still use his ability, then maybe Kaschan can, to. We need to see if he can, and if he can signal a count to us somehow.

Osseric was somewhat cleared. I don't think Osseric is scum. He's the one that tried to warn us about Thyrllan like he knew something.

I'm not making the same mistake as today. I'm following someone else's lead so Telas don't have to 'phrase it nicely' if we're wrong. Liosan makes a good point about you being a low poster. We always kill at least one. At least it would be a blameless mistake if we're wrong. My vote stays.

I didn't say he was a low poster. I said half his posts were low content. Some of them definitely do have content. It's the coming in and coming out announcements to inflate post count that bothers me.

I'm going to bed. See y'all in a few.

Another thing i'm not entirely certain about is the fact that He Who Was Fener Once is actually a FM. My theory that there were no Bahamudites before the Espers got created would mean that we had an Adventurer FM. Unless, after being recruited, he got additional abilities. It could mean that someone in the Netherworld, or whatever you want to call the place mostly dead people go, has the ability to bring people back. It could also mean that either A: The Scum Esper can bring someone back, but that'd mean he could kill someone too, which seems quite overpowered to me. Or B: Scum recruits dead people, and the human Espers bring them back without knowing their alignment. Although that seems slightly odd as it would mean he'd have to sacrifice someone.

Ehm? There is no proof I am Eloth. You have my word and posting style, but no definite proof.
Nor do you have definite proof I am town. Once again, you have my word and I have certainly tried and demonstrate I am, but there is no definite proof.

finally, for your last scenario: with one recruit a night and 1 town returned, whether or not things stay even is dependant on who was lynched, of course.

Honestly man, you sound seriously enthusiastic but at times, also like you type a bit faster and without the necessary caution that might be adviseable :wallbash:.

Whatever. He's a low poster, regardless. Fairly safe bet for now. Not much else to go on. SL seems very much town to me, as well as Kalse in SH. Osseric said he had knowledge to trust Thyrllan, but didn't want to reveal. Osseric seems less scummy to me, now. I'd look at Tellan or D'riss, as well. Tellan has seemed odd the entire game. D'riss wanted Thyrllan dead as much as any of us. Rashan is flying way too far below the radar. Those are my current thoughts. We have a long while, though.
